Second weekend of the Apparatus course in Athens, and everyone is still standing, which feels like a small miracle. The work is solid, the focus is sharp, and the repertoire is moving forward one exercise at a time. You keep showing up, the equipment keeps telling the truth, and the room feels stronger for it.

World AIDS Day happens today, every year. I mark it because I remember the people we lost. Dancers, artists, musicians, creative people who shaped whole communities, then vanished far too soon. The 80s felt unreal at times, but it was real. The grief was real. The silence left behind was real.

Somehow we are now in a moment where the orange man has decided to ban official recognition of World AIDS Day in the US. It is sickening. Erasing remembrance does not erase history. It only exposes ignorance.

I will keep honouring this day. I will keep saying their names. I will keep pushing back so we never forget what happened, who we lost, and why this day matters.
