Postpartum is such a whirlwind of change.⁣

When things are changing and transitioning it is natural to want to have more control and certainty. ⁣

It becomes problematic when we are trying to exert control over things that are outside of our control. It often leaves us feeling deflated, like we are failing or like we aren't doing a good enough job.⁣

It is more adaptive to focus on the things that are within our control rather than repeatedly trying to change or influence the behaviour of our child or partner when things feel overwhelming or uncertain. ⁣

Focusing on what you can control will help you get your needs met and help build your confidence because you actually have the power to change the things you can control. ⁣

What aspect of postpartum felt like the biggest loss of control to you?⁣

For me personally it was being on a little person's sleep schedule!⁣
