These are heart cells, if you were to see them under a microscope you would see how beautiful and wondrous you truly are…

The first thing the heart does is pump blood to itself. I find that a wonderful metafor for your own health/life.

Exercise, eat balanced meals, keep stress levels low and sleep well.

For those staring chemo, make sure to ask your oncologist to get a comprehensive cardiac evaluation, especially if getting anthracyclines ( doxorubicin) , platinum based, paclitaxel and cyclophosphamide based chemotherapy.

Tests to include: blood work, EKG and an echocardiogram. Ask your oncologist for what they believe is required for your case.

You need a baseline evaluation of cardiac function in order to compare down the road post chemotherapy if needed.
