To love is to accept a soul entirely, not wishing that the person was otherwise, nor hoping for change, nor clinging to some ideal past. To love is to cherish the individual standing before you presently: charms, quirks, and all.

To love is to give someone a piece of your heart that you will never, ever reclaim.~

“You may think to yourself,
‘I have not travelled that far,
for I still have so far to go,’
but you must remember, my dear,
that progress is not linear,
and each small step you take forward
completely catapults your growth
such that you have already come
far further than you may believe,
and the dreams you wish to achieve
are more possible than you might think,
for the destination you wish to reach
is not a distant place
but a way of being
that is found in each step of the path.
And so, once in a while,
it may be worthwhile
to practice seeing yourself
not through the eyes of all you have yet to be
but all you have already become.”

Twelve times have I grown:

The first when I chose the path of love over the path of judgment.
The second when I chose the path of wisdom over the path of ignorance.
The third when I chose the path of patience over the path of frustration.
The fourth when I chose the path of forgiveness over the path of resentment.
The fifth when I chose the path of self-compassion over the path of guilt.
The sixth when I chose the path of kindness over the path of cruelty.
The seventh when I chose the path of authenticity over the path of conformity.
The eighth when I chose the path of faith over the path of fear.
The ninth, when I chose the path of resilience over the path of despair.
The tenth, when I chose the path of gratitude over the path of entitlement.
The eleventh, when I chose the path of humility over the path of arrogance.
And the twelfth, when I chose the path of acceptance over the path of resistance.

The Woman who has Herself

When a woman has herself
you can enter or leave her life
you can flatter or judge her
and she, she will receive or say goodbye to you kindly
and she will thank you and understand your shadows
because she already knows hers.
You probably won't tolerate it and at the same time
you want to own it and you will end up walking away
from her if you don't have the courage to respect her.
When a woman has herself
the Universe Dances at her feet, and She rises.
She becomes compassionate.
She chooses.
She is aware.
She gives and receives Love.
It is easy to recognize it.
The Woman Who Has Herself
She smiles in the sun as in the storm.
She celebrates life and understands death.
She lives and dances the processes.
She doesn't have a hue, she's a rainbow.

The world is increasingly designed to depress us. Happiness isn't very good for the economy. If we were happy with what we had, why would we need more?
How do you sell an anti-ageing moisturiser? You make someone worry about ageing. How do you get people to vote for a political party? You make them worry about immigration. How do you get them to buy insurance? By making them worry about everything. How do you get them to have plastic surgery? By highlighting their physical flaws. How do you get them to watch a TV show? By making them worry about missing out. How do you get them to buy a new smartphone? By making them feel like they are being left behind.
To be calm becomes a kind of revolutionary act. To be happy with your own non upgraded existence. To be comfortable with our messy, human selves, would not be good for business. ~Matt Haig

"So I would add, remember to be grateful for everything in your life 💕 and give your energy & attention to becoming a better version of yourself each day."

By midlife, we're usually aware enough to understand which of our issues most need attention.

We've learned where we're strong, but also where we're weak.

We know what parts of ourselves to be proud of and what parts of ourselves should change.
We know what our issues are. It might not be a time when we're learning new things about ourselves so much as understanding more deeply what we already know.

This is not the time to stop working on ourselves; it's the time when we've finally accumulated enough clues to help crack the case and solve the myself why and how we've kept ourselves bound for so long.

Its not the time to give up and say, 'this is who I am, its too late to change.' Quite the opposite- its time to take a stand, once and for all, for your own potential.

Don't worry that it took you so long to get to this point. It takes everyone this long.

We know nothing until we know all the ways that we're not who we should be.

Only then do we have a chance at becoming the people we've wanted to be... from the day we were born.

And for that reason alone, these are sacred years.

"In any dark time, there is a tendency to veer toward fainting over how much is wrong or un-mended in the world. Do not focus on that. There is a tendency to fall into being weakened by dwelling on what is outside your reach, by what cannot yet be.

Do not focus there.
That is spending the wind without raising the sails. We are needed, that is all we can know. And though we meet resistance, we more so will meet great souls who will hail us, love us and guide us, and we will know them when they appear.
Didn't you say you were a believer ?
Didn't you say you pledged to listen to a voice greater ?
Didn't you ask for grace ?
Don't you remember that to be in grace means to submit to the voice greater?

Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach.
Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring good.
What is needed for dramatic change is an accumulation of acts, adding, adding to, adding more, continuing. We know that it does not take "everyone on Earth" to bring justice and peace, but only a small, determined group who will not give up during the first, second, or hundredth gale.

One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these - to be fierce and to show mercy toward others, both, are acts of immense bravery and greatest necessity. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the strongest things you can do.

There will always be times when you feel discouraged. I too have felt despair many times in my life, but I do not keep a chair for it; I will not entertain it. It is not allowed to eat from my plate. The reason is this: In my uttermost bones I know something, as do you. It is that there can be no despair when you remember why you came to Earth, who you serve, and who sent you here.

The good words we say and the good deeds we do are not ours : They are the words and deeds of the One who brought us here.

In that spirit, I hope you will write this on your wall :

"WHEN A GREAT SHIP IS IN HARBOR AND MOORED ,IT IS SAFE, THERE CAN BE NO DOUBT.
BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT GREAT SHIPS ARE BUILT FOR."

This comes with much love and a prayer that you remember who you came from, and why you came to this beautiful, needful Earth."~

"Sisterhood is the phenomenon that occurs when women quit seeing each other as mirrors, or reflections of themselves, and start seeing each other as one-of-a-kind works of art.
Sisterhood happens when women view each other as deep wells of support and inspiration — as teammates — instead of competitors.
Sisterhood happens between women who are secure enough to stop being afraid of each other; who do not feel that another woman's different life choices are a judgment of her own choices.
Sisterhood happens when we become curious instead of defensive about our differences.
Sisterhood does not require the same beliefs or thoughts or political parties or churches. Peace is not about becoming the same; it's about becoming okay with being different.
There is so much untapped power in sisterhood."~
