As this (quite challenging) year slowly comes to a close, I wanted to dedicate a post to my lovely flatmate and friend, Bikhuni 🐈❤️ who passed away a few months ago.
Everyone who visited me over the last few years in Crete fell in love with her (it was impossible not to…). She was such a sweet, innocent and playful soul. Bikhuni came into our lives out of nowhere. We found her on the ground floor opposite my house, and since the road in between is quite dangerous for small kittens, I decided to offer her a home. And that was it, we became best friends. She would wait for me to wake up and sit on my lap during meditation, and at night she waited for me to go to bed and lay on my feet, locking me in the same position like a mummy for the whole night... (I think most of cat parents know what I mean). On other nights, she would rebel and get super hyper and I would strike a bowl I kept next to my bed for that specific occasion and she would immediately stop running around, come close, lie down and chill.
Bibiku was adorable. She was just one and a half months old when we found her and I introduced her to the sounds of the singing bowls right away. She became so familiar with those sounds that they calmed her instantly. In April she was diagnosed with cancer and it was quite aggressive, so unfortunately she didn’t have much time left. I tried to offer her the best care possible, including sound healing whenever I could. These are some of those precious moments and also some photos from the past. I feel blessed to have met her and to have been her companion, friend and guardian, and deeply thankful that I had the knowledge to give her moments of relaxation. That is the beauty of sound healing, you can offer it with an open heart to friends, family, animals and even plants.
Thank you Bikhuni my love for all the beautiful moments we shared ❤️ ✨
