Zhàn zhuāng (站樁), commonly translated as "standing post," is a fundamental training method found in many traditional Chinese martial arts and qigong systems. At first glance, the practice may appear deceptively simple: the practitioner stands motionless, often in a posture resembling the embrace of a tree.
