Διατροφή: Το μαγείρεμα στο σπίτι κάνει καλό
Σύμφωνα με νέα μελέτη, το μαγείρεμα στο σπίτι θα μπορούσε να μας προστατεύσει από την άνοια.
Νέα έρευνα, που δημοσιεύθηκε στο Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health, παρακολούθησε 10.978 ενήλικες ηλικίας 65 και άνω για έξι χρόνια και ανακάλυψε ότι τα άτομα που μαγείρευαν σπίτι τουλάχιστον μία φορά την εβδομάδα είχαν 23% χαμηλότερο κίνδυνο εμφάνισης άνοιας, με τα μεγαλύτερα οφέλη να παρατηρούνται σε εκείνους που είχαν περιορισμένη εμπειρία στην κουζίνα. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, οι συμμετέχοντες με λιγότερη εμπειρία στην μαγειρική παρουσίασαν μείωση του κινδύνου για άνοια κατά 67%, γεγονός που ενισχύει τη θεωρία ότι η μάθηση νέων δεξιοτήτων και η γνωστική διέγερση που προκαλεί η μαγειρική βοηθούν στην πρόληψη νευροεκφυλιστικών ασθενειών.
Να υπενθυμίσουμε ότι στο ιατρείο μας εκτελούνται οι νέες διαγνωστικές εξετάσεις για την πρώιμη διάγνωση άνοιας-Alzheimer που έχουν εγκριθεί από το FDA όπως και ο γεννετικός δείκτης που συνδέεται με αυτά τα νευροεκφυλιστικά νοσήματα.
