Medication support on the way from Lesvos to Kos.

Through ongoing coordination, CMA supports the clinic in Kos with electronic prescription assistance and regular medication donations. Each shipment is based on close communication between our respective medical coordinators to ensure the most essential items are prioritized.

In January, our teams on Lesvos and, in collaboration with on Kos, continued providing essential healthcare services to camp residents, ensuring steady access to dental and pharmacy care.

✔️ 114 dental treatments provided in Lesvos
✔️ 129 patients supported with medication in Lesvos
✔️ 445 patients supported and 9 medication prescriptions handled in Kos

CMA operates inside the medical area of the Mavrovouni camp on Lesvos island, Greece, where people stay while waiting for the next steps in their asylum process.

From this dental clinic, our volunteer dentists and dental assistants provide emergency and preventative dental care to the camp's residents.

Because we work inside the camp, every volunteer who joins CMA receives an introduction to the camp context, the environment in which residents stay, and volunteers work.

Understanding the setting is an important part of being able to provide calm, respectful and professional care.
