Παράλληλα διατηρεί θέση Επιμελητού στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Sheffield, Ην. Βασιλείου ως Consultant Μεταμοσχεύσεων, Γενικής Χειρουργικής και Αγγειακών Προσπελάσεων. Διατελεί επιστημονικός υπεύθυνος στο τμήμα Γενικής Χειρουργικής του Ιδιωτικού Κέντρου ¨Υγεία Λασιθίου¨ Κρήτης.
Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητα της Γενικής Χειρουργικής στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο Ηρακλείου. Μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στο πεδίο Ήπατος Χοληφόρων Παγκρέατος και Μεταμοσχεύσεις Ήπατος, Παγκρέατος και Νεφρών στα Πανεπιστημιακά Νοσοκομεία Karolinska, Σουηδίας και Οξφόρδης και Μάντσεστερ, Μεγάλης Βρετανίας.
Παρακολουθεί επιστημονικά σεμινάρια και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμα Συνέδρια στην Ευρώπη και Αμερική. Στο Ιατρείο του παρέχει εξειδικευμένες υπηρεσίες και αντιμετωπίζει περιστατικά Γενικής Χειρουργικής, Λαπαροσκοπικής Χειρουργικής, Κήλης, Θυρεοειδούς, Παραθυρεοειδών και Αγγειακών Προσπελάσεων. He completed his service in the Hellenic Air Force, at the Hellenic Air Force General Hospital, General Surgery Clinic, Athens and then at the Medical office of Chania Combat Wing. He served in Chania General Hospital and Vamos Health Centre as a Community Service. He then trained in the University Hospital of Heraklion, where he acquired the title of Specialist of General Surgery, in 2013. Additionally, he went on to receive subspecialty training in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplantation Surgery at Karolinska University Hospital, Sweden and a Fellowship in Transplantation Surgery at Churchill University Hospital, Oxford, UK and Manchester Royal Infirmary University Hospital, Manchester, UK. In Manchester he served as a Consultant Transplant, General and Vascular Access Surgeon. He has participated and continues to contribute with a number of scientific presentations in European and International Congresses, with research activity in the UK and lectureships. He participates in the annual appraisal system, in order to comply with the General Medical Council, UK, requirements. He has been teaching medical students, Fellows Surgeons and nursing staff. His areas of surgical interest and Service are General Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, Hernias, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Solid Organ Transplantation Surgery and Vascular Access Surgery with Graft placement. He is currently a part time Consultant Transplant, General and Vascular Access Surgeon at Sheffield University Hospital, UK. He is the Clinical Lead for the Surgical Department of “Alexandros Mastoras” Private Hospital in Corfu and "Ygeia Lasithiou" Diagnostic Centre in Crete. He lectures at the Medical School of the University of Crete and holds a private practice in Heraklion, Greece.
