Our Story
Retreat Center Drolma-ling Drolmaling is a retreat area designed by practitioners for practitioners who wish to find a safe, quite and supporting environment to go on short or long-term retreats. The retreat facilities are located up a hill on Rhodes Island, Greece, 500 meters from a village called Theologos.
WE OFFER : 1.Yoga classes 2.Meditation classes also 3.Private and group yoga retreats, 4.Thai massage teaching and 5. Reiki initiation.
Rhodes has a long history and was devoted to the worship of Apollo, a beautiful island infused with Apollonian light. The land has been consecrated by Tibetan Buddhist masters who granted their blessings for the fruition of the Buddha’s teachings and their practice. This is a non-profit establishment and the low fees charged to guests will go for the maintenance and improvement of the retreat facilities and the making of gardens and orchards. Description: Drolmaling is located in 7.5 acres of land in the forest and offers basic amenities that include a simple structure that houses toilets, showers and a kitchen space for cooking, ample space to set up tents, a small cottage room, and a studio apartment with its shower and kitchen. There is also a main building that has all the necessities including wifi and a person to assist you, for extra costs, in your everyday needs in case you do not want to leave the centre. The place is isolated and at the same time only 500 meters from the village, 1 km from the sea and only 5 kms from the international airport of Diagoras. The space of Drolmaling is also available for teachings and seminars in accordance with the purpose and regulations of the center. Guests: We welcome all serious people with respect towards the environment that would like to practice (meditation, yoga or their personal retreat) for a short or long period of time and who will be following the rules of the centre that include: no killing, no consumption of drugs, alcohol, or smoking (except in designated fire-safe areas).
