Reflexology is a complementary therapy that involves the application of pressure to specific points, known as reflexes, on the feet and hands to encourage the body to heal from within. The therapy is based on the principle that the feet and hands contain 'mini-maps' of the whole body and that by applying pressure using the fingers or thumbs a reflexologist can have a positive effect on the corresponding parts of the body. It is a powerful therapy which has been shown to have a very positive effect on health and wellbeing

👣

The foot on the right is a healthy foot

The foot on the left has been deformed by shoes and socks

If your foot looks like the one on the left, it can be restored with foot rolling, toe spreading and wearing natural footwear

Once your feet become healthy, your knees, hips, back and shoulders become healthier too

Everything is connected ✌🏽

In English below…

Eye muscles - there are 6 in total. They are, of course, used to turn the eye. Next, they are also used to change the shape of the lens so that the focus changes. They thus have both a movement function and an influence on focusing.
Traditionally, we think of the eye muscles if we experience soreness behind the eye when moving it, or if we e.g., are suffering from headaches.
But there are many other good reasons to pay attention to these muscles. According to the posturology, problems with the eye muscles can, for example, cause headaches, pain in the neck, shoulders, upper back, as well as in the lower back. In addition, also balance problems. Emotional problems include anxiety, insomnia, depression, and stress.
(posturology is the description and treatment of the human posture or in other words - position.)
Next, it is known that there is a connection between the eye muscles, the suboccipital muscles and thus also the upper cervical vertebrae.
According to the Chinese understanding it is the liver qi that controls and therefor influences the eyes - this applies to the eyes, the eye muscles and the sight itself. So, one has to treat the eye muscles - (great that tension in these both can be tested and treated via these reflexes) - then to treat the underlying imbalance in the Liver.
The eyes are traditionally treated on the toes 2 and 3. As shown in the illustration, the plantar side of the 2. toe reflects more of the eye muscles and is therefore also the one that has the greatest influence on the same.
Also note that toe 2 also has a direct connection to the Stomach Meridian, which starts at the eye!

National Stress Awareness Day - 4 November

“We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world.”
Gabor Mate

The powerful modality of reflexology and it’s restorative ability on bodymind has never been so important as it is now.

REFLEXOLOGY FOR STRESS - A Key to Health & Wholeness

Date: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th January 2021

We need a certain level of stress to thrive in life but when stress escalates significantly it disrupts our health and wellbeing and consequently can lead to serious dis-ease. The emerging science of Psycho-Neuro-Immunology (PNI), gives us a deeper understanding of stress and the Mind Body connection. PNI identifies the direct links between psychological distress and illness.

Reflexology is a useful tool not only for tackling high stress levels but also reducing the impact of persistent stress on our bodies. During the 2-day workshop we will learn specific restorative reflexology techniques and approaches to combat stress, its related disorders, and to help initiate bodymind equilibrium. The reflexology practice will encourage our awareness back into the body, highlighting the importance of being centred (grounded).

This hands-on practical workshop will teach a specific bi-manual integrated approach to working the reflexes, enhancing your reflexology practice through experiential learning.

The practical aspect of this workshop will focus on the following:

The intestinal reflex link and the Gut Brain
Endocrine System Balance /HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis)
Working the Spinal reflexes (Autonomic Nervous System ANS)
Vagus Nerve Stimulation
The Toes – Energetic Gateway
The 3 diaphragms of the body
The Psoas Connection

I thought I’d give you a Reflexologists perspective on the news article I shared yesterday, by giving you some of my insights from the photos included in the article.

Here’s another link to it.

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/how-an-early-symptom-of-coronavirus-could-show-up-on-your-feet-c-973110

“A team of Spanish experts is investigating after cases showed COVID-19 sufferers could be identified early through lesions to their feet.”

Please remember that Reflexology is a complimentary therapy, and is not intended as a replacement for medical care. It also never claims to diagnose.

These are my interpretations as a professional reflexologist, based on the lesions that have appeared on the feet in the photos from people with Covid-19.

The big toe is the reflex area for the head, with the brain being reflected in the top portion of this toe. The tips of all the other toes are also reflexes for the brain. Symptoms of Covid 19 relating to the head are headaches. Interesting that there are lessons on the big toe, and enflamed areas on the tips of the 2nd toes.

The ball of the foot reflects the chest area (lungs) of the human body. Symptoms of Covid 19 relating to the chest area are difficulty breathing and a cough. Interesting that there are spots on this area, and that it is yellowish in skin tone compared to the rest of the person’s foot. Yellow in reflexology terms may indicate congestion, or toxins. This may in this instance be due to the Covid 19 virus and its symptom of high fever.

You may note that some of the toes are also quite pale, indicating the lack of oxygen circulating to them.

Reflexologists see bodily symptoms reflected on the feet all the time, so it comes as no surprise to me that the feet would be displaying symptoms of this virus in these areas.

There are a number of other noteworthy things that I saw, but I thought I’d just leave you with these main ones.

I am very grateful that the images of these symptoms were shared by the Spanish General Council of Official Podiatrist Colleges. Soooo much to learn from this!

In english below...

The exciting thing about drawing the zones/reflexes, is that you come to mind about all the variations you have seen. Here, for example, an access to the heart from the front. I know at least 3 more locations for this zone/reflex. If you can't figure out the drawing - then the pencil is pointing to the heart. Just imagine - when we give first aid - we do it from the front !!! Maybe this access is extra strong as a reflex? !!!
