Inclusive sport is often misunderstood as making things “easier”.
But inclusion is not about removing challenges, it’s about removing barriers.
When we eliminate all difficulty, we risk lowering expectations, limiting participation and reinforcing the idea that some people can’t take part in meaningful ways.
This is not inclusion.
Inclusive practice means adapting activities, environments and rules so that everyone can engage, be challenged and grow.
Not by changing the person, but by rethinking the system.
Because the issue is not ability.
It’s how sport is designed.
Don’t remove the challenge, reshape it.
