Our research on dermoscopy-based prediction of melanoma metastasis published in Nature Communications is just released. We found that dermoscopy may serve as a digital biomarker, offering valuable prognostic insights into melanoma’s biological behavior before excision and help guide therapeutic decisions. Hope that this an essential additional step toward precision Dermato-Oncology.

Dermatoscopy is a common method to aid in diagnosis of melanoma, however, its utility in predicting metastasis is not fully known. Here, the authors leverage a cohort of 30 dermatologists to develop models to predict prognosis from dermatoscopic images.
