This is a medical fundraiser for our beloved teacher, mentor, and community pillar, Jo. For nearly 10 years, Jo has been living with stage 4 lung and brain cancer. During that time, her husband, Dr. Steve Arthur, has carried the enormous weight of out-of-pocket medical expenses so Jo could continue to live, teach, love, and build the yoga community that so many of us call home. This Saturday, we gather for 108 Sun Salutations in honor of Jo. Sun salutations are the beginning of the Ashtanga practice, and Ashtanga was always at the heart of Jo’s teaching. This is our way of moving, breathing, and showing up for her in the language she loved most. This offering is not about loss. It is about support, gratitude, and community. All proceeds will go directly toward offsetting Jo’s medical costs and supporting her family during this incredibly difficult time. There will be raffles and offerings throughout the day, including gift cards, personal yoga sessions, donated items, and more. A potluck, silent auction, and additional fundraisers will follow. Jo spent over 20 years building Yoga Chill into a place where people felt seen, grounded, and connected. Whether you practiced with her for decades, met her once, or never had the chance to meet her at all, you are part of what she created. Come move with us. Come hold space. Come give what you can.📍 Yoga Chill Studio🗓 Saturday, Jan 31🕙 Studio opens at 10am | Sun Salutations at 10:30am💜 Cash only. DM for electronic donation option ☪️🙏🏾

Beginner’s Yoga | Tuesdays at 6PM. Beginner’s Yoga was never meant to be easy. It was meant to be accessible, teachable, and beneficial. This class is held near and dear to Jo because she understood that strong practice begins with a strong foundation. Beginners deserve skill, not over simplification. Bodies need to be seen, understood, and respected across ages, injuries, and experience levels. For over a decade, this class was taught by her most senior teacher, Jen. That was intentional. Jo believed this entry point laid the groundwork for everything that followed, including Ashtanga, her personal practice and the heart of her lineage. In its earlier years, this class also included sound meditation. Over time, the class evolved. As the practice has grown and matured, that element has returned. What remains is the intention. To offer a space where everyone can learn. Where advanced practitioners can return to baseline. Where beginners can start with clarity and care. Where all levels can find their space and their place on the mat. Tuesday at 6PM will always hold a special place at Yoga Chill. Join us tonight to breathe, to move with purpose, and to return to the foundations.

When people commit to a practice that asks something of them, it shows. Tonight’s Ashtanga room was filled with focus, effort, and quiet determination — people choosing discipline, breath, and movement even when it would be easier not to. That kind of practice builds more than strength. It builds clarity, resilience, and trust in yourself. This is what it looks like to do the work — together. If you were in this room, keep coming. If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign. We have opportunities to practice all week — from beginner-friendly classes to heated, dynamic flows and structured practices you can grow inside. 7 days a week. Different styles. Same intention. Choose the classes that meets you where you are — and come back next week ready to go deeper. DM us to find your place on the mat.

Some come to reconnect with their bodies. All come with intention. This isn’t about doing yoga “right.”It’s about being present — together.
