Metabolic diseases appear first in the feet due to its distance away from the heart . This is due to the poor circulation. This can manifest in non healing diabetic infections to gouty tophi / ulcers of the feet due.
Your feet are one of the most important things in your life . Ignoring them leads to inactivity and a downward spiral in your physical / mental health. It’s the beginning of the year but not to late to start 🫵🏽😊🦶🏽

Very few things make me emotional. A patient of mine hasn't been walking for over a year . He comes in on a mobility scooter . Many things haven't been addressed with his visits to previous doctors. He came to my office 1 month ago and said Doc will i ever be able to walk again . I said as long as i'm here i will make you walk again. It was as if he had convinced himself he will never walk again . I then carefully reviewed his labs , xrays and previous doctor visits . He came to my office last week walking .
My emotions got the better of me 😢🥲😊
