Members of HOATTA joined Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and the Ministry of Health - Guyana at the sod turning ceremony for the new Industry Polyclinic. This new facility scheduled to open one year from now will host a diverse set of health care services including the first in Guyana, a polysomnography laboratory where sleep studies are conducted to diagnose and evaluate sleep disorders. The polyclinic will also house a pulmonary function laboratory with the ability to conduct pulmonary function tests- spirometry, lung volume testing, bronchoprovocation test, allergy testing and diagnostic bronchoscopy.
