🧑⚕️ Core Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
💊 Prescription & Medication Handling
- Prepare, label, and dispense prescriptions accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Verify dosage, interactions, and instructions to ensure patient safety.
- Compound basic formulations (e.g., creams, suspensions) when required.
- Maintain proper storage and disposal of medications, including controlled substances.
📦 Inventory & Operational Support
- Monitor stock levels and reorder medications and supplies proactively.
- Receive, unpack, and shelve pharmaceutical deliveries.
- Track expiry dates and manage recalls or returns.
🛍️ Customer Service & Cashier Duties
💬 Frontline Engagement
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries about prescriptions, OTC products, and health items.
- Provide guidance on product usage, side effects, and general wellness (within scope).
- Handle complaints or concerns with empathy and escalate when necessary.
💳 Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations
- Process transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Manage cash, card, and digital payments with accuracy.
- Apply loyalty rewards, discounts, and promotions as applicable.
💅 Beauty Care Section Support
🧴 Product Knowledge & Merchandising
- Assist customers with selecting skincare, cosmetics, and personal care items.
- Stay informed on new arrivals, seasonal trends, and bestsellers.
- Maintain clean, attractive displays and ensure products are well-stocked and labeled.
🎯 Sales & Upselling
- Recommend complementary products (e.g., pairing moisturizers with serums).
- Promote in-store specials and bundle offers.
- Collect customer feedback to inform future product selection.
📁 Compliance, Documentation & Teamwork
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and transactions.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Train junior staff and contribute to SOP updates and workflow improvements.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, beauty advisors, and management to ensure seamless operations.
🎓 Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience is a plus—but we value the right attitude just as much!
