過了「小暑」,馬上就到了一年中最熱,最潮濕的「三伏天」了。
其實7月到8月的這段時間,在北美也被稱作「dog days」,有人認為這是因為這段時間熱到讓狗都會發瘋,但其實是因為「夜空中最亮」的天狼星在這個時候佔據了整個南部的天空,與太陽幾乎同時升起。甚至有人相信,天氣如此炎熱,是因為天狼星的強光附著在了太陽的能量上。
「三伏天」和「三九天」不同的是,它以10天為一個週期,也就是數「庚」日,「甲、乙、丙、丁、戊、己、庚、辛、壬、癸」,每10天有一個庚日。從夏至開始計,第3個「庚」日為「初伏」,第4個「庚」日為「中伏」,立秋後,第一個「庚」日為「末伏」。

我們之前提過,「三九天」是養陰,夏病冬治的好時候。而到了「三伏」,人體陽氣最為旺盛,「能春夏不能秋冬」的人,則到了冬病夏治的最好時機。用體內充沛的陽氣配合「天灸」,「拔火罐」「刮痧」等,除祛體內的寒氣、濕氣,以減輕冬日疾病-尤其是過敏性疾病的症狀,天灸也一般會選用白芥子、肉桂、細辛、生薑汁等辛溫的藥材,如果食用太過「熱氣」,伏貼則更為合適。

也推薦大家適當喝一些薑茶,發汗散寒,疏通表裏。同時千萬不要當風、飲冷而受寒,袪暑袪濕也一定要有限度,不可折損「陽氣」喔。

The “Dog days” or “Three-fu days” is coming right after the solar term “minor heat”. These time is believed to be the hottest and sultriest days year round.

Traditionally, Chinese ancient wisdom have divided the period to three part with the beginning of each part a “Fu”. The first “Fu” arrives 27 days after “summer solstice”, then 10 days later the second “Fu”. The last “Fu” is the 7th day after “the beginning after autumn”.

During this period, the body “Yang” reaches its most vigorous state and its perfect time to supplement, restore the “Yang Qi” and rebalance the “lack-of-yang” state many people may experience during the winter. By using drugs with the characteristic of heat on acupoints, and techniques such as cupping or Gua Sha, the Chill in the body may be expelled and Yang may be restored.
In the meantime, ginger tea is a great beverage option during this period of time, it can helps you sweating gently and “commute the inner and outer yang”. Also, be soft on the air con and iced drinks especially if you’ve already been experiencing weakness in your body .

民間有雲:「大暑小暑,上蒸下煮」。小暑的意思是天氣已經熱起來,但「尚未極也」。隨著氣溫節節高升📈,美麗的夏日🏖️和暑熱一同勢不可擋地飛奔而來啦!讓我們一起來看看小暑有什麼需要注意的吧🤔

1. 防冷氣,護陽氣🌞
氣溫升高,大家的冷氣機是不是已經保持全日無休了呢?《黃帝內經》中提及:「暑則皮膚緩而腠理開」。如果冷氣趁虛而入,容易而導致感冒、關節疼痛等。因此,用衣物、帽子保護自己被冷風直吹的頭部,頸椎是一個不錯的選擇。另外,如有汗出,要記得及時擦乾喔。

2. 防濕氣,護脾胃🍚
天氣熱起來,往往很難抵禦冷飲的誘惑😢冷飲傷脾胃已經老生常談,但尤其對於平時脾胃就不好的朋友們來說,一定要謹記「走冰」啦。吃飯的時候出一點汗,其實也可以幫助我們排濕。另外,要注意臍部保暖喔。
隨著小暑的到來,芒果也紛紛上市。對於皮膚敏感,或者本身濕氣重的朋友們來說,一定不要貪嘴。

3. 防暑氣,免中暑😵‍💫
夏天到了,一定要及時補充水分,並且避免在一天最熱的時候出門。

☝🏼 喝液體就可以補水嗎?並不是,咖啡、茶、可樂等都不可以代替喝水,反而會造成脫水,更應該在喝完之後補充水分。
☝🏼 每個人都要喝八杯水嗎? 並不是,性別、溫度、年齡、體重等等都與一個人的飲水量有關係,因而飲水量並非固定,營養師推薦每天總喝水量=每公斤體重×30~35cc,在範圍內大致上下浮動都可以~

如何評估自己需水的情況?
🙌🏼 尿液的顏色,如果出現深黃色或茶色則提示你應該要喝水了。
🙌🏼 出汗的多少以及體味是否濃烈,炎熱的夏天當然要多喝水咯,如果是覺得自己出汗黏黏而且有點臭臭,也是需要多喝水的提醒了。
🙌🏼 皮膚的狀態。長期皮膚鬆弛缺乏彈性、乾燥,或者是經常性面部長粉刺、膿瘡,都需要通過增加飲水來提高細胞的代謝。

相信很多人不喜歡中藥的原因都是「中藥太苦了」,有些方子吃下去,有時候甚至覺得苦到想嘔吐。

☝🏽有苦味的藥材差不多占了中藥材中的一半左右,但真正苦到不能忍受的也就是這麽幾種。下面介紹幾個最苦的中藥,下次在處方中見到這些身影,就給自己做好 「吃苦」的心理準備了。

✨吳茱萸:苦中帶辛,初入口有香味,但很快就會有很重苦味,而且苦味持久。
✨龍膽草:清瀉肝膽實熱,苦味非常銳利。
✨苦參,海桐皮:皮膚科常用的清熱燥濕藥,很多人認為苦參是最苦的中藥,海桐皮除了苦味,還有 一股霉味。所以很多醫師也偏向於將這兩味藥外用。
✨黃芩,黃連,黃柏,大黃:四黃都有很好的瀉熱作用,不過苦味比較清淡,入口帶有甜味。其中黃 連最苦。不過除了苦味,也沒有其它特別的怪味。

👼🏼吃中藥的時候,要怎樣才能避免太苦呢?
𝟙 小口頻服,可以先小口飲 2-3 口適應後再服藥。

𝟚 在溫度微溫,大約 30-40 度左右服用。 

𝟛 有了心理準備,可以準備一杯清水,服藥後立刻漱口。避免味道在嘴裡停留

𝟙 Be prepared: Not all TCM soups are bitter, ask your practitioners if your formula may taste bitter, and be prepared. 

𝟚 Drink slowly: Take 2-3 sips first until you get more comfortable with the taste, so you won’t get nauseated from the sudden spiking taste. 

𝟛 Temperature: Drink when it’s warm but not too hot, around 30-40 Celsius.

𝟜 Have a glass of water to wash the taste off your mouth.

最近經過水果店小編經常能看到放在外面的榴槤,前幾天忍不住買了一個回家吃,結果吃完沒多久牙齦就腫了🤔
身為一個熱帶水果,榴槤因其於氣候炎熱環境生長,富含維生素,營養豐富,擁有「水果之王」的美稱。坊間常有類似「一顆榴槤三隻雞」的說法,榴槤也常被用作病人康復後、產後婦女補身體的補品,也有痛經的女性用於緩解痛經。
榴槤在「本草綱目」中記載:可供藥用,味甘溫,無毒,主治暴痢和心腹冷氣。原來,古書已經記載榴槤可以治療「心腹冷氣」,而痛經常見的寒凝血瘀證就恰好符合心腹冷氣的情況,受痛經困擾的女性服用榴槤,可以改善腹部寒涼的症狀。
哪些人不適合吃榴槤,或者是有更好的方法進食榴槤呢?
1.體質偏熱,或者當下有熱氣症狀的如咽痛,口乾,便秘,暗瘡,濕疹。
2.糖尿病、腎病、心腦血管疾病患者。
3.如果想過把口癮,又擔心上火的你,多喝水,或嘗試與不同的性質偏涼的水果搭配來吃,如西瓜,梨,山竹等,可以解除榴槤的燥熱。

又到了冷熱交替的季節,加之雨水光顧,很容易受涼。著涼之後感覺不適,但又沒有嚴重到想要吃藥的地步;又或者暫時不方便看醫生怎麼辦呢?
或許你可以試試用蔥白煮水喝!
蔥是一味可以發汗解表、通陽散寒的中藥材。蔥白則是大蔥(京蔥)白色的部分。使用方法也非常簡單,當初受風寒、鼻塞流清涕、怕冷或肌肉痠痛時,只需將蔥白切段,放入沸水之中滾開1-2分鐘,再趁熱喝掉,出少許汗就可以啦。如果想要追求更好的效果,還可以蓋上被子增強發汗的效力,不過不宜發汗過多,且記得要即時擦乾喔。
另外就是千萬記得不要煲煮太久,這反而會令藥物失去效力。

While the weather changing and sometimes with the rain, it's easy to catch a cold. After catching a cold and feeling sick, but not serious enough that need to take medicine; or temporary inconvenience to see a doctor, what should we do?
Maybe you can try drinking water with leek!
Leek is a Chinese herb that can release sweat and dispel cold. When you suffer from stuffy nose, coldness or muscle pain, just cut the white part of the leek, put it into boiling water and boil it for 1-2 minutes, then drink it while it is hot and sweat a little. If you want to pursue a better effect, you can also cover the quilt to enhance the sweating effect, but should not sweat too much, and remember to dry it immediately.
Also remember not to boil for too long, as this will make the medicine lose its effectiveness.

🌬 你可以選擇坐著,或任何喜歡的姿勢。停下目前正在忙碌的事務,感受你的腳下,周遭的環境;並將手輕輕放在腹部,感受自己的深呼吸。一開始,可以每日抽出一分鐘。你可以將其於自己每天一定會進行的儀式連結起來:例如等待一杯咖啡的時間,或是準備出門的前一刻。或許在剛剛開啟這一分鐘時仍會有紛飛的雜念。無妨,可以繼續專注在你的呼吸之間,甚至試著感受雜念在你腦海中出現和消失的過程。
🌬 當你習慣了這一分鐘的專注後,則可以再嘗試將時間延長幾分鐘。

🌬 Our introduction to meditation can begin with the simplest of breaths.
🌬 You can choose to sit, or any posture you like. Stop what you are currently doing and feel your feet, your surroundings; place your hands gently on your belly and feel your deep breath. At first, take a minute out of your day. You can link it to a daily ritual you must perform: for example, waiting for a cup of coffee, or the moment before you leave the house.
🌬 Maybe there are still thoughts flying around in your head when you first open that minute. It's okay to continue to focus on your breath and even try to feel the distractions appear and disappear in your mind.
🌬 Once you get used to the one-minute concentration, try extending it for a few minutes.

今天我們要討論內容是:你真的了解什麼是家庭暴力嗎?
提及家庭暴力,我們往往會很快聯想到憤怒的拳頭,瘀青的傷痕和低聲的啜泣。然而,事實上家庭暴力遠遠不止身體傷害這麼簡單,他有著更為廣泛的定義。
請注意,當以下任何一種情況出現,都可能意味著家庭暴力的發生,它包括但不限於:
身體暴力(Physical abuse)、性暴力(Sexual abuse)、精神暴力(Psychological and/or emotional abuse)、強制性控制(Coercive control)、經濟虐待(Financial abuse)、骚扰和跟踪(Harassment and stalking),甚至互聯網環境下的一些透過線上手段所實施的暴力(Online or digital abuse)
研究顯示,新冠疫情影響下,家庭暴力的發生率也隨之升高。當你發現自己或者身邊的朋友已經在危險的邊緣,可以及時聯絡家庭暴力中心/機構,獲得專業的援助。
