💚Last Thursday was truly inspiring as we gathered to celebrate the remarkable journey of "Invisible Differences." This animated short film brilliantly sheds the light on Hong Kong's neurodivergent community, bravely unveiling not just their unseen challenges but also the incredible strengths that come with thinking differently.

🎬Directed by the talented Joanna Bowers, the film beautifully merges Arthur Fujita’s original artwork with enchanting hand-drawn 2D animation. Hearing real interview clips from neurodivergent Hong kongers of varying ages and backgrounds was a powerful reminder of what we can learn from each other's experiences. Their heartfelt stories of identity, relationships, and how our unique differences can be transformed into superpowers left us all moved and motivated.

🌈Together, let’s continue the conversation around neurodiversity, empowerment, and understanding.
If you would like to watch the trailer and/or donate to this short film, which is still in the developing stages, please see the Talos Foundation website by going to:

🌟Unlocking the Milestone of Language Development! 🗣️🌟

At Spot Centre, we know that watching your child find their voice is one of the most exciting parts of parenthood. But do you know if their language skills are on track? Our latest guide breaks down the key milestones for Understanding and Speaking for ages 4, 5 and 6:

🌈Age 4: Children are beginning to master “wh-“ questions, following two-part instructions, and using conjunctions like “because” to form longer sentences.
🌈Age 5: This is the year of “how” questions and sequences! They start understanding time concepts (yesterday/tomorrow) and begin telling stories with a clear plot.
🌈Age 6: Language becomes a tool for complex problem-solving. At this stage, children can follow multi-step instructions, understand cause and effect, and tell “true” stories with a beginning, middle, and end.

💫Understanding these building blocks is essential for supporting your child’s journey toward reading and writing 🎊
