瑜伽,真的需要核心肌群 (Core)嗎?
需要?還是不需要?😂
很多人一聽到「肌力」,想到的都是「力量」。
但其實,肌力還有其他層面——例如耐力與氣血循環。
打個比喻會更清楚:
• 肌肉的爆發力,就像短跑比賽——一瞬間的全力。
• 肌肉的耐力,則像長跑——需要穩定、連續的推進力。
• 而肌肉的氣血流動,就像障礙賽——需要靈活的技巧與調節。
瑜伽所需的力量,大多是後面兩者。
在流動性強的體式裡,沒有穩定的耐力,動作就難以順暢;
在靜態的體式中,要維持關節的細膩穩定,則仰賴氣的靈活穿行。
所以,即使從肌肉不同面向的力量來看,自由流動的瑜伽,也始於並扎根於一個穩定的核心。

對初學者來說,也許一開始會有點挑戰;

Does yoga actually require core strength? 🧘♂️
Is it a ”yes“ or a ”no“? 😂
When most people hear the word ”strength,“ they immediately think of raw power. But strength has many layers—including endurance and the circulation of energy (Qi). 🌀
To put it simply:
• Explosive power is like a sprint—all-out effort in a single moment.
• Muscle endurance is like a long-distance run—steady, continuous propulsion.
• Flow of energy (Qi) is like an obstacle course—requiring agility, skill, and mindful adjustment.
The strength we need for yoga mostly falls into the latter two. In dynamic flows, without stable endurance, your movements won‘t be smooth. In static poses, maintaining delicate stability in your joints relies on the fluid movement of ”Qi.“
Even when looking at the different facets of physical strength, a free-flowing yoga practice always begins and takes root in a stable center.
Our Core Yoga classes do more than just follow traditional asanas; we integrate specific exercises to enhance your body’s coordination and control. For beginners, it might feel like a bit of a core workout challenge at first!
