HKU SPACE HPCC HD Medical and Health Products Management Programme

Our Story

This programme provides students with basic knowledge of medical science (anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology) and general chemistry for the understanding of scientific, medical and health care technologies. Students will acquire product specific knowledge and business-oriented skills to facilitate their eventual employment in marketing, sales and entrepreneurship areas in the medical and health products and services industries. Moreover, guest lecturers from the industries will be invited to share their invaluable experiences so that students can well prepare their careers upon graduation. This programme is equipped with a comprehensive health products teaching room, which includes a mock pharmacy and a health products consultation corner, provides an ideal place to students for their practical training. Teaching staff for specialism courses are registered pharmacists or holders of higher degrees, doctoral degrees and master’s degrees, in the relevant subjects. 本課程涵蓋醫學的基礎知識（包括解剖學、生理學、微生物學、病理生理學、藥理學），以及在醫學、保健科技上應用的一般化學原理。同學除可掌握產品相關的知識外，更可透過學習了解行業內的商務技巧，為投身醫藥及保健產品服務業作推廣、銷售或營商等工作打下穩固基礎。此外，課程將邀請來自業界的專業人士擔任客席講師，分享他們寶貴的工作經驗，為同學日後升學及就業做好準備。 書院更按個別學科需要，為本課程增設保健產品教室，內設模擬藥房及保健產品專櫃，為實習課堂提供理想的學習環境。 本課程中各專修科目的講師均為註冊藥劑師或持有相關科目的博士或碩士學位。 “HKU SPACE is a non-profit making University company limited by guarantee 香港大學專業進修學院乃非牟利擔保有限公司”
