【眼科視光師拆解：如何從「眼」入手，改善學習障礙？👀】
在學習過程中，有接近八成的資訊都依靠雙眼來接收。倘若雙眼不協調，即便小朋友腦袋聰明，學習時亦都可能事倍功半，造成學習障礙。一同了解學習視力三關，為孩子的視力把關。
👀 第一關：對焦清晰度
第一步，就是要看得清楚。眼科視光師會為小朋友做全面眼科視光檢查，排除先天眼疾，如發現有深近視、遠視或散光，就會建議配戴合適眼鏡，讓影像可以清晰聚焦。
🤹 第二關：雙眼協調力
讀書學習時要一邊望黑板、一邊望書本，雙眼其實處於忙碌的狀態。過程中需要雙眼「同步轉動」、「對焦」，即所謂的調節同聚合能力。如果協調不好，小朋友容易出現眼矇、頭痛、抄寫時漏字跳行，甚至閱讀速度慢等情況，影響學習效率。
🧠 第三關：大腦解像力
眼睛接收到的影像還要傳送到大腦分析和解碼，這個就是視覺感知能力。視覺感知能力包括辨別形狀、空間位置、手眼協調等。如果此部分發展尚未完善，小朋友可能會容易混淆英文字母 b 和 d、寫字時有出界、難以找出雜亂環境中的物件，甚至運動時手腳不協調。

【Learning Difficulties and Vision: An Optometrist’s Insight 👀】
Nearly 80% of learning-related information is received through the eyes. When a child’s eyes are tired or not working well together, learning may become more difficult.
To better support children’s learning, it is important to understand three key aspects of learning vision:
👀 1. Clear and Comfortable Vision
Clear vision is the foundation of learning. Optometrists can perform a comprehensive eye examination to check for congenital eye conditions and identify myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism. When needed, properly prescribed glasses can help children see clearly and focus accurately.
🤹 2. Binocular Coordination
In class, children often shift their focus between the blackboard, books, and worksheets. This requires both eyes to work together smoothly. Poor eye coordination may cause blurred vision, headaches, skipping words or lines, and slower reading, which can affect learning efficiency.
🧠 3. Visual Processing
Seeing clearly is only part of the process. The brain also needs to interpret visual information, a skill known as visual perception. This includes recognizing shapes and symbols, understanding spatial relationships, and coordinating hand-eye movements. When this ability is underdeveloped, children may confuse letters like “b” and “d”, write outside the lines, struggle to find objects in cluttered spaces, or appear clumsy during sports.

If you notice any of these signs, an optometrist can assess your child’s binocular coordination and visual perception. Based on the results, a personalized vision training programme may be recommended using tools, games, and computer-based exercises to help the eyes and brain work better together.
