冬至大過年,保暖衣物要加添,食完團圓飯要吃甜!
「冬至」 是全年白天最短的一天,在節氣和傳統而言皆為非常重要的日子,過了冬至,白天時間逐漸增長。冬天宜進補,因為這是蓄積能量、強健體力的最佳時機,適量進食羊肉、牛肉、糯米,桂圓、紅棗、核桃等溫補食材。但不要一味只顧進補,小心補過頭以致上火、口乾舌燥,本身為偏熱或濕熱體質人士,如咽喉痛、口瘡、暗瘡等症狀的則不應胡亂溫補。
宜:
⭕南瓜和車厘子也是溫補食材
⭕米水加點薑,驅寒又美味
⭕使用放濕機令室內濕度提升
⭕睡覺時加個暖水袋暖腳
忌:
❌撕走唇上的脫皮,容易造成傷口
❌吃煎炸辛辣食物會傷陰,加倍耗損津液
❌別過度吃喝令肚子吃不消
❌避免坐在窗口或當風處

Winter Solstice solar term marks the shortest day of the year. It is a very important day in terms of solar terms and tradition. After the winter solstice, the daylight time gradually increases. Winter is the time to replenish because this is the best time to accumulate energy and strengthen physical strength. You can eat more warm and hot-natured ingredients such as lamb, beef, glutinous rice, dried longan, Chinese red dates, walnuts. But don‘t just focus on replenishing, be careful not to overdo it and get heat to accumulate in our body. Pay attention that those with heat-related or damp-heat body type, or those with heat related symptoms such as sore throat, canker sore, pimples should not have replenishing ingredients.
What to Do:
- Pumpkin and cherry are replenishing ingredients.
- Rice water with ginger is delicious and can dispel cold.

What NOT to Do:
- Removing peeling skin as it may become a wound.
- Eating spicy, oily and fried food as that will hurt your yin and further use up body fluids.

- Avoid sitting by the window or windy areas.
