認識胃癌：

November｜Stomach Cancer Awareness Month｜Care for your stomach, start with a gastroscopy
Stomach cancer is one of the most common cancers in Hong Kong. Its early symptoms are often subtle and easily overlooked. Many patients only seek help when discomfort arises—by then, the disease may have progressed to a later stage. That’s why early detection and diagnosis are key to improving treatment outcomes.

Understanding Stomach Cancer:
Stomach cancer occurs when genetic mutations in stomach tissue cells cause normal cells to become cancerous. While the exact causes remain unclear, infections such as Helicobacter pylori and Epstein-Barr virus may increase the risk of developing gastric cancer.

What are the symptoms of Stomach Cancer?
• Persistent indigestion
• Loss of appetite and rapid weight loss
• Bloating after meals
• Vomiting, sometimes with blood
• Bloody or black-colored stool
• Fatigue
• Swelling in the lower abdomen

同事們在工餘時間欣賞美麗的風景，與同伴、家人享受美食，在忙碌的工作過後放鬆心情，是每年值得期待的一大樂事。

HKAH-SR Hospital Trip 2025 – Shenzhen One-day Tour
Valuing the health and well-being of our staff and encouraging them to take a day off to unwind after a busy work week, our hospital organized two trips for our staff to Shenzhen in October. Colleagues visited "OCT East – Tea Stream Valley" where they took a train to enjoy the valley view and went for a walk in nature’s beauty. The popular "Gankeng Ancient Town" was explored with its nostalgic architecture and chance to appreciate traditional crafts and snacks. A luxurious international buffet in the revolving restaurant at the 55th floor of Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel was another highlight of the day where staff enjoyed a quiet dinner with charming night views of Shenzhen city.

Overall, the trip was a happy break spent with companions and family which we much look forward to.
