Asia-Pacific Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology Society The Asia-Pacific Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthamology Society (APSPOS) was founded in 2008. Currently, the society has more than 300 members.

Its key objective is to assist in the development of paediatric ophthalmology in the Asia-Pacific region.

Of note, high myopia leads to potentially blinding complications including glaucoma, cataract, and macular degeneration. The COVID-19 outbreak is rapidly changing our lifestyles, and has possibly aggravated children’s myopia progression.

International Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Council (IPOSC) and International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is pleased to co-organize a myopia webinar on Aug 28, 2020. We have leading experts from different continents to share on various aspects to prevent this pandemic.
