We are an independent, non-profit professional association that supports the LMCHK doctors. We began meeting socially since June 2017.
As the group grew, we incorporated on 26 Nov 2019 and are the only incorporated organisation dedicated to the LMCHK.

REPRESENTATION: Our society was invited to join the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences Fundraising Dinner last night, joined by our council members and invited guests. Some of us even joined in on the auction!

REPRESENTATION: Our society’s honorary treasurer Dr Andrew Kong was recently invited by the Health Bureau to participate in a Stakeholder Engagement Session, with regard to the private sector pricing transparency legislation.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Our society member and specialist in ophthalmology Dr Jennifer Hung recently delivered a health seminar, educating the elderly on common eye illnesses such as macular degeneration and cataracts.

HKMLE SUPPORT: Our popular clinical review series for the 2025 second sitting returns, be sure to sign up as a member if you haven’t already and join the course!
MEDIA ENGAGEMENT: Our society member Dr Berkant Hizaslan was featured in the United Christian Hospital newsletter, where he shared about his HKMLE journey from Turkey to working in Hong Kong, his passion for patient care and his way of learning the local dialect.
SOCIAL: Our regular quarterly social is back, this time we also celebrated the success of candidates who passed the HKMLE!

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The society joined hands with in hosting a free clinic session, with underprivileged community attending for health screening and receiving on-site general health consultation. We’d like to thank our members for volunteering their time for this great cause!

The Medical Licentiate Society of Hong Kong (Licentiate Society) is an independent, non-profit professional association that supports the LMCHK doctors.
The group began meeting socially on 15 June 2017. As the group grew in size and offerings, the Licentiate Society incorporated on 26 November 2019.
The Licentiate Society is the only incorporated organization dedicated to the LMCHK. Its offices are located in Central, Hong Kong.
Purpose
Promote the highest standards of healthcare, professionalism, safety, and education.
Endorse public education and engagement.
Encourage working with other medical practitioners and doctors and community organizations in realizing it objectives.
Nurture the needs of the LMCHK community through social events and medical education.
Represent the LMCHK community’s interests in and outside of Hong Kong.
Support the efforts of candidates sitting for the Hong Kong Medical Licensing Exam.
Diversity
The group has LMCHK doctors from over 20 different licensing jurisdictions including (in order by relative numbers of doctors): UK, Mainland China, Australia, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Belgium, India, Korea, Nepal, Netherland-Antilles, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.
Structure
The Licentiate Society is comprised of two parts:
The Council – the governing body of the medical society, who serve as its board of directors.
The Members – there are 4 classes of members: Full, Associate, Honorary, and Corporate.
