Iโ€™ve been cutting Maritsaโ€™s hair because in Hong Kong cutting curly hair is a no go unless youโ€™re willing to spend some ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Then it was my turn to get a trim, as Maritsa was shaving my sides I made a comment about shaving it all off ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

She looked at me and said โ€œreally?โ€ and literally, the very first thought I had was โ€œbut then I wonโ€™t be as feminineโ€. ๐Ÿ’…

Instantly, I realised how silly that thought was and how many other women might have that same reaction to doing something like this ๐Ÿค”

My hair does not change the fact that I am a woman!

How to truly believe in yourself!

If there is something you want in because it could drastically change your circumstances, you have to commit to making that thing a reality ๐Ÿ’ญ ๐Ÿค”

Even as close to a few months back, I wasnโ€™t taking my own advice ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

I didnโ€™t believe in me, my abilities, my education, my energy... NADAโ€ผ๏ธ

I mean, I was trying but something was off.

I felt as if I was letting not only myself down but those around me. I wasnโ€™t the leader I wanted or needed to be ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜‘

A million books later, Iโ€™ve come to realise that itโ€™s all in the way we think about ourselves ๐Ÿง 

I needed to think and believe I was awesome and start taking awesome actions ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฅ

If we view ourselves in a positive light backed by some pretty amazing goals then we hold ourselves to higher standards ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

If we become intentional about our lives and who we want to be we are more likely to smash our goals โœ…

Make the commitment of a better life and a better you, for you โ˜๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

The promises we make to ourselves guide us to believe our thoughts, actions and visions of our future ๐Ÿ‘

Be intentional and follow through on your commitments ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Donโ€™t be afraid to be the person you wish you were โ€ผ๏ธ

I never thought I could be someone who showed people anything. I never thought I was qualified enough, mature enough, good enough, disciplined enough, smart enough... the list goes on ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ“

What Iโ€™ve come to realise is if I continue to think those things then I will never be the person I feel I can be and I will never help the people I want to help ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

So I made a choice ๐Ÿ˜Š

I decided I can help people not just because Iโ€™ve put in the time and effort to learn the skills but more importantly because I genuinely want to ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

If there is something you truly want and are willing to work for it, then you can have it but you have to work for it...

* Even when it gets tough
* Even when you have a bad day
* Even when you get distracted
* Even when people donโ€™t believe in you
* Even when you financially donโ€™t have it
* Even if the little voice in your head has doubts

Iโ€™m not sure if you have heard this before but in case you havenโ€™t... ๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿผ๐Ÿค—

You can be, do and have anything you want if you are willing to put in to place a plan to get there or even take a step in the right direction ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿค”

We must learn to be stronger and more positive than or thoughts ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

We must learn to push past the fear that tells us itโ€™s too hard โŒ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿšซ

We have a gift and itโ€™s called life ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’š

Find positivity and enjoy the journey ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒ

Why most of the fitness industry bets on you failing! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜ก

Hola! How is everyone?

As we were taking our walk and talking about how we can be better with our own health and life as well as help make a more positive impact on our members, friends and family...

It reminded me why I never really loved being in the fitness industry.

The fitness industry is NOT designed to get most people results.

Hereโ€™s the thing... you could want to lose 10 pounds but if you donโ€™t work on your mindset first to make those changes, it wonโ€™t actually happened and if it does, youโ€™ll revert back and end up gaining even more weight than before!

People are lazy, we all want to be lazy but itโ€™s at the cost of who you want to and could be.

To lose 10 pounds for example, you would have to...

* Eat well
* Exercise
* Be positive
* Focus on a goal
* Have a supportive coach/community

CONSISTENTLY!

Yes, there are a lot of things to do but itโ€™s the honest truth!

Try following these steps to make positive changes in your life and habits...

1. Figure out who you want to be, what you want to look and feel like and what 3 things you want people to think about you (i.e. an awesome, sexy strong woman/man).

2. Do things in accordance to step one. For example, if you want to be considered a strong, disciplined and positive woman. - you would have to...

* Train consistently
* Work on your mindset
* Eat whole-foods, plant-based
* Have fun and fulfilling experiences

Identity is important. Create an easy plan to follow for your fitness, food, relationships and growth habits.

Writing a plan will help you set the right steps in place and help you become more organised.

1. Everyday believe and work hard and consistently towards an end goal. We recommend shooting for a 12 week goal.

2. Slowly become the person you imagined. What we think, we become and if we take action towards it, we become it.

Most in the fitness industry donโ€™t want you to know the truth about mental and physical health, that you can change your situation and health. They will just continue to take your money.

You are a business to them, until you decided not to be.

So, step up and take control of your life and habits, one step at a time of course.

You will always be in uncomfortable situations and thatโ€™s okay, thatโ€™s just growth waiting to happen โฌ† ๐Ÿ’š

Iโ€™m sure you have been scared to...

Fail or mess up
Enter a relationship
Travel overseas
Take a new job
Have kids
Try an new hobby
Speak publicly
Be a leader

The truth is, if you donโ€™t ask the answer is always no and you miss out on a whole lot of awesome experiences ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Your diet not only effects how your body looks on the outside but what is going on in the inside like your organs, brain function and emotional health ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’š

Eating more plants and less animal products greatly reduces your risk of lifestyle diseases by boosting your immune system with the right nutrients.

* Arthritis
* Heart disease
* Cancer
* Alzheimerโ€™s

Not to mention the positive effects it has on your mental health ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ’š by reducing depression and anxiety ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

When I was in college I had realised the importance of being active to positively boost my mood and mindset ๐Ÿง 

I was going through a breakup and had used exercise to help me deal ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

I had soon found that my thoughts and feelings switched from being focused on the negatives to looking for new positives ๐Ÿค”

The truth is that if you want to look good, feel good and have natural energy in your life, you have to be active ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป

Being physically active has shown to have a positive effect on your...

S*x life
Sleep
Weight management
Moods
Skin
.. and youโ€™re less likely to get a lifestyle disease ๐Ÿ’š The list goes on!

Hereโ€™s the secret...

Find the things you like to do! ๐Ÿ˜œ

Itโ€™s doesnโ€™t matter what it is...

Strength training
Body weight training
Walking
Running
Dancing
Swimming
Hiking
Team sports

Find a thing that challenges you, that you enjoy and make it a part of your regular schedule.

I would recommend 4-6 days a week. Challenge the intensity from time to time. โœ…

More importantly realise it serves a massive importance in your life! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Positive habit #3! - Set amazing goals ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

If you want to achieve anything, you have to set some sort of goal to get there - period ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Whether it be weight loss, fitness, career, financial or relationships, you must set goals. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ’ฐ ๐Ÿ’•

However, if you want to make a massive difference ๐Ÿ’š not only with yourself but with your life you must set goals that take you out of the comfort zone ๐ŸŒ€, that push you to work hard, make you grow but more importantly that make you come alive ๐Ÿ˜

For some strange reason when most of us hit our teenage years we stop dreaming and thinking ๐Ÿ’ญ that we can do whatever we want โ‰๏ธ

Maybe itโ€™s that time when other people start setting their own limitations, view and opinions on us โ“๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

In the process we get comfortable, lazy and then complain about it! ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ˜ฉ

We are here to tell you to take a chance and dream a little!

You have the ability to be and do some pretty amazing ๐Ÿคฉ things... so why not try โ‰๏ธ

Set some goals ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ and do amazing $h!t in order to live a little more!

Each time we have taken chances and set amazing goals it has not only changed us inside but has changed the course of our lives ๐Ÿ’š

Positive habit #2 - Cultivate the right mindset!

Now we know what you might be thinking - โ€œThatโ€™s easier said than done!โ€, but the truth is that you get what you focus on ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ‘€

If you focus on the crappy ๐Ÿ’ฉ things that happen then thatโ€™s what youโ€™ll get. If you focus on the positives ๐Ÿ˜Š you will have a better chance of not being miserable.

After being victims to our own thoughts for so long we are here to tell you that yes, itโ€™s easier to do what you have always done!

Itโ€™s easier to complain! ๐Ÿ˜–
Itโ€™s easier to make excuses! ๐Ÿ˜ค
Itโ€™s easier to stay in bed! ๐Ÿ›
Itโ€™s easier to eat out and order food! ๐ŸŸ

We completely get it and still fight those urges sometimes. Especially when itโ€™s cold as hell outside โ„๏ธ

But hereโ€™s the truth...

Life is so much better when you choose to see whatโ€™s good, fight for what you want, think about things youโ€™re grateful for, tell yourself how awesome you are and spend time with people who bring you up
