1.Reflection - What you contemplate can actualise
It is time to observe what is around and about you, to truly gaze upon what can be seen, and to think on it for a time. It means it’s time to do contemplation, a time of gathering all the threads of the half-formed thoughts, and following some through to their end, and reaching a better understanding of what it is you are currently looking at. We, the mermaids, are asking for you to reflect - to become still, and to truly see what it is that is before you. Reflection also means to have greater understanding of yourself - there is no outer contemplation that does not have its echo within. So for now, look, look at what is there, and feel the strength of your contemplative times.
2.Sensuality ~ Making love, erotica
To experience physical bliss is not a purely physical event - there is an intimate connection that connect . The tainted sexual beliefs of the medieval era which led to a hatred of the body, of sexuality, and a demonstration of women are still with us in some ways. If you have drawn this card it is likely you are ready to explore and dive into your own physical expression of bliss. This card encourages you to reconnect with the love of your natural physicality, and to explore the pleasure your sensuality can bring to you, and to begin to understand and untangle any of the lingering cultural or personal guilt you may have about this.
3.Divination ~ Prophecy, fate, destiny, future fortune
You too have the gift of seeing the possibilities, of knowing and feeling out the fate...and mermaids know that as a fellow mer-being, one who has been borne of the great sea mother, you too can work with the gift of seeing in many directions at once.. it is as if you can stare into water, and see ripples of what could be. You too have the power to connect with the divine, and this power can be activated as you teach yourself the wisdom of the sea. There will be signs, and there will be omens, and the symbols will come to you. You have a gift. It is time to train, and then to exercise it with responsibility and beauty.
