No matter what is the reason toxins get accumulated in our body duo stress, irregular or poor diet, living environment and cause imbalances in our body. The imbalances in metabolism, normal sleep, pain which are all signs that is something wrong going on within us and lead to health problems, overweight and unfortunately illnesses on the end. The toxins are divided into one which are water soluble and other which are oil/fat soluble, like heavy metals. Ayurveda uses special therapeutic procedures to eliminate toxins and blockades out of the body through procedure system called – Panchakarma.
“Pancha” in Sanskrit means Five and “Karma” means actions or procedures. As any treatment procedure, the process of Panchakarma therapy requires to prepare the patient prior to the main course of the five fold treatment. The first line treatment is Poorvakarma in which the patient is prepared for the main treatment of Panchakarma.
• Snahana means oleation therapy. There is an internal and external application of oil on the patient. Oil loosens the toxins and Abhyangam or body massage increases the circulation. The toxins are moved from various tissues and organs to the main gastro intestinal tract and into the liver and kidneys.
• Swedana means fomentation therapy. The toxins that are water soluble are brought out through skin by perspiration. The main treatment protocol involves the Fivefold karmas / Panchakarma and one or more of them is applied during the Panchakarma which normaly last 3-30 days.
• “Vamanam” is induced emesis or vomiting. The toxins that are in the stomach at the cardiac level are brought out. It includes the phlegm and mucous that is in the stomach.
• “Virechanam” is induced purgation. There are toxins that are in the small intestine and bile are excreted through this process of virechanam.
• “Vasthi” treatment is the administration of hypertonic enemas. They are of two types based on the base liquid- Oil based Vasthi and Decoction based Vasthi. It is the safest way to evacuate the toxins that are accumulated in the large intestine or colon.
• “Nasyam” means nasal instillation of oils / medicated fumes / herbal powders into the nostrils. As per Ayurveda, nose is supposed to be the doorway to brain. Any medicaments given through this route, is supposed to reach to the brain. Through this process, the ailments of the head & neck region is cured.
• “Raktamokshanam” means venesection or bloodletting. It is a specialized process wherein the physician draws blood of the patient via the application of leeches, cupping or by making small incisions on the body. It is very effective in the disorders of the blood. Paschata Karma means post treatment therapeutic regimen. Panchakarma procedure is exhaustive process by nature. After these Karmas the “AGNI” or metabolism of the patient is at its lowest. The restoration of the metabolism into its normal course is done through a carefully designed diet and lifestyle program. Instructions of do it yourself guide at home, diet and lifestyle recommendations.

VAMANA – terapijska emesis u Panchakarmi

– kronične kongestije i viška sluzi
– alergija i astmatičnih tegoba
– metaboličke tromosti
– određenih kožnih i endokrinih poremećaja

Cilj: obnova ravnoteže doša i jačanje probavne vatre (agni)
Rezultat: osjećaj lakoće, jasnoće i u glavi i u tijelu

Posebno respiratornog i probavnog trakta.
Ovakva kombinacija osobina čini jaglac posebno korisnim u periodu proljeća, kada se u tijelu prirodno nakuplja Kapha doša — energija vode i zemlje.
Uticaj na doše
Kapha doša
Jaglac pomaže razbijanju težine i viška sluzi, podržava disajne puteve i unosi osjećaj lakoće u tijelo.
Njegova proljetna energija podržava kretanje prane, životne sile, i budi osjećaj svježine, jasnoće i nove inspiracije.
Kako koristiti jaglac?
Posmatran kroz ayurvedsku prizmu, on postaje simbol proljetnog detoxa, lakšeg disanja i povratka u vlastiti ritam.
