Minds over Myths

Minds over Myths This is a Do You Mind? project from PRONI Centar, supported by Erasmus+.

We are Mental Health Ambassadors, a collective of young advocates from all around the world, who are committed to change the conversation around youth mental health.

It's a poem about struggling and struggling and struggling, on and on, until we learn how to deal with it.

We would like to share this guide to check-up on yourself and your mental well-being, as well as your loved ones’ ❤️

Once in a while try to stop and reflect on how you’re doing asking yourself these 5 simple questions.
You can also use it to help a loved one you think is struggling at the moment, like your child, your friend or your partner.

Take care of your mental health and try to notice when something is wrong before it escalates ☺️

We recently held a Hangout at the Info Center for Youth Osijek for a special workshop as part of the “Do You Mind?” project. It wasn’t just a workshop; it was a time for hanging out and being real. Instead of just drawing, we used masks to express what we usually keep hidden. The challenge was to paint what we feel deep inside, rather than the face we show the world. Using markers, paints, and old newspapers, everyone brought their inner thoughts to life in a safe space where everything you create is “good”.
The most powerful part? The empathy. Sharing the stories behind the masks showed us that we aren’t alone in our struggles. No judgment—just support. The takeaway is that once the masks come off, we realize how much we actually have in common.

On 17/02/2026, the workshop „Bouldering for Mental Health“ was held at the gym Momentum Boulder, in Osijek. 🧗‍♂️

Seven participants tried bouldering for the first time under the guidance of a bouldering coach. Besides having a fun time, they had the opportunity to explore how the specific combination of intense mental and physical effort required in this sport affects their overall mood and body.

🧩 Bouldering is often compared to „a puzzle that you solve with your body“. It requires your complete concentration on tiny, precise movements while keeping your body constantly active.

It is no wonder that many say bouldering has a meditative effect on them! On top of that, a very supportive bouldering community makes a bouldering gym a safe space for many.

Did you know that eating disorders are not just about food? They are often deeply connected to anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, perfectionism, and the need for control. Eating disorders can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, body size, or background. That's why awareness and early recognition are very important!
If you notice yourself or someone close to you struggling, please remember that you are not alone. Recovery is possible, and it's okay to ask for help.💚

Depression is a common mental health condition that affects how a person feels, thinks, and functions in daily life. Although depression may seem like intense sadness, it is much more than that. It can also include persistent low mood, loss of interest or pleasure, fatigue, changes in sleep or appetite, and difficulties with concentration.

Our Mental Health Ambassador Maddalena talks to us about depression and some of its symptoms.

If you notice a loved is struggling, be aware and try to notice the symptoms. And most importantly: give them the space to talk and open up, other than making them feel seen and heard.

Our aim is to break the stigma and create a safe space for everyone where mental health can be openly discussed. 💚
