A central concern among therapists is the effectiveness of the tools they integrate into clinical practice. An inappropriate choice may not only represent a financial cost, but more importantly, a loss of valuable intervention time. 🕘

For this reason, the SENcastle team is committed to systematic product evaluation, the collection of practitioner feedback, and, where possible, the presentation of evidence-based outcomes. 📚

As part of this effort, Mateja Vukašinec (univ. mag. rehab. educ.) contributed to the scientific program at Bridge 2026. She also presented a poster entitled:
“Sensory Processing Profile in Down Syndrome: Theoretical Foundations and the Clinical Use of Multisensory Environmental Tools (SENcastle)” ✨

The World Congress organized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) recently took place in Thailand, bringing together experts from around the world to exchange knowledge, research, and examples of best practice.

Matea Videk from Udruga Spektar participated in this prestigious event with a poster presentation titled:

“Supporting Therapeutic Feeding Through Sensory Integration – Application of SENcastle in Occupational Therapy.”

She developed this work in collaboration with Mateja Vukašinec from the SENcastle team.

The study presented the application of a structured 15-minute multisensory preparation (SENcastle – an E-Glas/Integratum product) prior to feeding therapy for children with feeding difficulties. The results showed a 28% improvement in feeding quality following the sensory preparation.

In addition to quantitative indicators, qualitative improvements were also observed – better sensory and emotional regulation, increased focus and readiness to participate, smoother transitions, and improved postural stability.

In conclusion, the research confirmed the importance of sensory readiness as a key support for participation in feeding and highlighted the need for a structured and carefully planned therapeutic approach.
