🌿 What a wonderful retreat!

A magical weekend dedicated to strengthening the kidneys and embracing the energy of winter through Qigong.

We practiced Qigong for bone health (kidneys and bones are intrinsically connected in Qigong practice), explored the energies and meaning of the kidneys in TCM, and enjoyed a masterclass on essential oils and moxa.

Two days long, all about nourishment — gentle movement, deep restoration, and delicious meals made from local, seasonal ingredients following Traditional Chinese Medicine wisdom.

And yes, we happily accepted the hosts’ invitation to taste their organic white wine — a beautiful way to celebrate connection, nature, and vitality. 🍷

All this to nourish Kidney Yin, strengthen Kidney Yang, and recharge your energy to thrive through winter.

Two days of an intense and transformative workshop with Master Mantak Chia — a living legend and one of the world’s foremost Taoist teachers, known for bringing ancient Taoist wisdom into modern life.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn is the season of the Metal element, which governs the lungs and large intestine.

Together, these organs teach us the cycle of receiving and releasing—the lungs draw in pure qi from the breath, while the large intestine lets go of what no longer serves the body.

When Metal energy is balanced, we feel clear, strong, and connected. When it is weakened, we may experience grief, rigidity, shallow breathing, or issues with elimination.

The Tiger form (from White Tiger Qigong) strengthens the lungs and respiratory system, improving breathing capacity and oxygen circulation.

Its dynamic movements:
✔️expand the chest,
✔️release tension from the shoulders and spine, ✔️energize the tendons and fascia.

By enhancing lung function, the form supports immunity, boosts vitality, and helps the body adapt to the seasonal changes of autumn.

In TCM, Late Summer is recognized as its own fifth season — a time of transition between the height of summer and the crispness of autumn. This season is closely connected to the Spleen and Stomach, our body’s vital digestive and nurturing organs.

✨ Why the Spleen matters:

✔️It transforms the food we eat into energy and nourishment.

✔️It supports immunity and overall vitality.

✔️Emotionally, a strong Spleen brings us stability, groundedness, and clarity. When out of balance, we may feel worry, overthinking, or fatigue.
