TRAILER DEBUT: Beyond Arizona

Beyond Arizona is the first documentary co-production from FilmCafe Studio and Abroad Films. It follows Hungarian ultratrail runner Gergő Medgyessy through the Arizona Monster: 300 miles of Sonoran Desert, from Superior to the Mexican border. He's chased by something that has nothing to do with the race. So is everyone else on that trail. Of 300 starters, 199 crossed the finish line, but finishing was never the whole point.

And an extra treat: the song 'Sermon' from the official score is now available on all major streaming platforms. Built around one of America's oldest gospel songs (known as Run On or God Gonna Cut You Down), our composer Botond Őri Kiss went back to the original roots, weaving pulsing electronic bass with cimbalom (Gergely Kerékgyártó) and authentic Hungarian folk elements. Vocals by the amazing Nina Sára Horváth, master by Gábor Földes.

One year ago today, Gergő and Balázs crossed the finish line of the Arizona Monster. 300 miles, from Superior to the Mexican border, through the Sonoran Desert. We were there to capture every step of it.
