Annamária ACZÉL - Psychology MSc Intern, Behavior Analyst

My name is Annamária, and I am a Hungarian Behavior Analyst. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University. I obtained my BA in Psychology from the University of Pécs and also completed one year of a master’s program in School and Counselling Psychology at ELTE.
During my academic journey, I have been trained in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and have gained practical experience by offering one-time support sessions to students dealing with anhedonia, sadness, and general emotional distress. At Utrecht University, I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of anxiety- and loss-related issues, developing further insight into how these challenges impact individuals and how to support them effectively. As an international student myself, I understand the emotional and practical challenges of moving to a new country and adapting to a different culture.
I aim to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals who would like to improve their well-being or manage difficult feelings such as anxiety. I can provide psychological consultation sessions in English and in Hungarian.

Sara ALHYARI - Psychologist (MA), Behavior Analyst

My name is Sara Alhyari, from Jordan. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical and Health psychology from ELTE University. I understand the difficulty that comes with opening up to a stranger about our most vulnerable parts and experiences, and that is why it is my priority to create a safe and nurturing space for you. In my practice, I apply an integrative approach, using my training in client centered and cognitive frameworks to support and fit my clients’ exact needs. I have helped clients with a wide range of issues like low mood, anxiety, academic stress, procrastination, relational issues, and more. Since I myself lived through the experience of living, studying, and working in a foreign and culturally diverse environment I can understand the difficulties that immigrants and international students/workers may experience. If you are looking for someone to help you and lend a compassionate and curious ear, I would be happy to walk this path to healing and self actualization with you. I can offer non-medical service (psychological consultation) sessions for individuals in Arabic and English.

Gabriella Szilvia KÖBLI - Psychologist (MA), Relaxation Therapist, Couple and Family Therapy Consultant Candidate, Dance and Movement Therapist Candidate, Certified Expert in the Analysis and Interpretation of Drawings

My name is Gabriella Szilvia Köbli. I am a qualified psychologist (MA), graduated in psychology from the Károli Gáspár Reformed University. Prior to that, I took a Master's degree in Economics, which gave me a lot of professional and multinational expertise working with people from all over the world. Thanks to this multicultural exposure, I have become open to changes and continuous development. Later, after I managed to experience that there is a way out of inertia, I chose to change my economist job for a vocation as a psychologist to provide support for others who are motivated to pursue personal development.

I can offer my assistance relating to difficulties in couple and family relationship, interpersonal communication problems, intercultural and academic adaptation, concentration and problem-solving issues, exam stress, low self-esteem, anxiety, low mood, anger and stress management, deeper self-awareness and supportive conversation.

In addition, since I had the chance to study, work and live outside of my home country, Hungary, in England, Spain and in Italy, I can understand the difficulties of which a student, expat or immigrant faces with, therefore I am devoted to provide mental health support relating to cultural adaptation and difficulties too.

I offer individual, couple and family sessions to my clients in English and Hungarian as non-medical service

Atanas TANNOUS - Psychologist (MA), PhD (Clinical Psychology and Addictology) Candidate, ASSYST-I and ASSYST-G Provider

My name is Atanas Tannous, from Palestine. I acquired my BA in Psychology and Biology at Tel Aviv University, after which I moved to Budapest to obtain my Psychology MA (specialized in Clinical and Health Psychology) at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in clinical psychology and addictology at the psychology department of ELTE, where I also manage the Adapting Minds lab conducting research on self-regulation, mindfulness, and inhibitory control.

My research interests and professional focus ares on executive functioning, behavioral addictions, trauma-informed therapies, ADHD, anxiety and depression. I received my certificate in MDMA-Assisted psychotherapy from the multidisciplinary association for psychedelic studies (MAPS) where I trained to employ a non-directive approach that relies on one's inner healing wisdom which is facilitated by the medicine. (Please note that in accordance with the Hungarian regulations I’m not able to provide MDMA-Assisted psychotherapy, only its psychological components as psychological consultation, without medicine).

Through my work with people of color and marginalized communities, I hope to provide a safe container and a culturally informed approach to their lived experience which I believe to be a vital component for healing. I believe that having an unbiased listening ear, providing reflective insight and introspection can help facilitate personal growth and an innate ability to tap into unprocessed maladaptive schemas and allow for healthy integration.

I can offer my assistance relating to stress, traumatic experiences, anxiety, harmful habits, low mood and mood-swings, concentration issues, emotional-behavioral and cognitive self-regulation.

I look forward to working with international students, expats and immigrants who seek English or Arabic speaking, non-medical service providers.
