***UPDATE 1930 - Police have confirmed that missing person Sarah Thomson has been located.***

Please keep an eye out for Sarah Thomson.

She has not been seen since approximately 2pm yesterday afternoon - Saturday 30th January 2021.

Police are concerned for her welfare, if seen contact Devon and Cornwall Police quoting log 749 300121.

The rescue today involved 2 stand up paddle boarders. One was a non swimmer, no leash attached and not wearing a PFD. The other a swimmer also on a SUP who could not return to shore.

1.When the winds are strong think twice about using ANY forms of inflatable craft

2. If you are not a competent swimmer then ALWAYS wear a Lifejacket (PFD)-if you’re hiring ask about getting one or find a hirer that will provide you with one-IT MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE

Providing lifeguards on busy beaches that extra minute can be the difference between a good day at the beach and the loss of life. Don’t let that be you or anyone you know.
