A Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace is csatlakozott azon elismert budapesti szállodák sorába, akik innovatív módon szeretnék biztosítani vendégeik számára a biztonságot. A Four Seasons globális politikájához tartozik 2020 májusa óta a Lead with Care egészségbiztonsági program, amelyet a szállodalánc szakértőkkel együttműködve fejlesztett ki annak érdekében, hogy folyamatosan biztosítani tudják vendégeiknek és alkalmazottaiknak a biztonságos környezetet.

Egy kiemelkedő technológia a személyzeti étkezőben kihelyezett Semmelweis Scanner, melynek segítségével a dolgozók meggyőződhetnek arról, hogy a kézfertőtlenítési technikájuk mennyire eredményes. The Four Seasons Gresham Palace has also joined the ranks of acknowledged Budapest hotels, who wish to ensure the safety of their guests in an innovative way.
The Lead with Care healthsafety programme has been part of the global guideline of Four Seasons since May 2020, which the hotel chain has developed together with healthcare experts to ensure a continuously safe environment for their guests and employees.

The outstanding technology, the Semmelweis Scanner, is located in the staff canteen, allowing employees to see how efficient their hand disinfection techniques are.

Győrffy Árpád, the executive chef of the hotel, always puts great emphasis on proper handhygiene, also in order to protect customers health, has already tried the Semmelweis Scanner Kiosk.

Awarded with one of the world’s most significant design awards, the Red Dot, the Semmelweis Scanner provides objective visual feedback on how what coverage the user has reached by rubbing the hand with alcohol, as well as making recommendations for improving hand-disinfection practice.

The Budapest Marriot Hotel is still doing everything for the safety of its employees and guests.

Although restrictions have been eased in Hungary, the Marriot Budapest is training the hand hygiene practice of the staff with the help of the Semmelweis Scanner, which they could find in front of the canteen for the last week. The WHO suggests that correct handwashing and hand disinfection are among the most effective methods to prevent infections and epidemics, hence the initiative might have a major role during a potential 4th wave in maintaining a safe and high-quality service.

One of WHO’s goals on this year's World Hand Hygiene Day is to balance hand hygiene compliance between low-, middle- and high-income countries by raising the opportunities and awareness of low-income countries.

According to a national survey of 88 countries, the level of compliance with hand hygiene and infection prevention and control programs - especially in terms of actual application - was significantly lower in lower-income countries than in those of middle- and high-income.

Although proper hand hygiene is one of the most effective prevention methods against COVID-19, among others, infection acquired through healthcare is still a significant global health problem of today. Lower-income countries are twice as likely to experience its disadvantages, i.e., nosocomial infections, than high-income countries.WHO's IPC-observer portal is one of the tools, that could help to close the gap, however, according to our own experiences the most efficient way is to acquire proper hand disinfection technique if during training with Semmelweis Scanner healthcare workers receive instant feedback about the efficiency of their hand disinfection, and it also tracks development.

A WHO az idei kézhigiéné világnapon kitűzött céljai között kiemelten szerepel az alacsony, közepes és magas jövedelmű országok közötti kézhigiénés megfelelést kiegyenlíteni, az alacsony jövedelmű országok lehetőségeinek, tudatosságának emelésével.

A WHO 88 országra kiterjedő nemzetközi felmérése szerint a kézhigiéné és a fertőzések megelőzését és ellenőrzését célzó programok megfelelőségi szintje - különösen a tényleges végrehajtás tekintetében - lényegesen alacsonyabb volt az alacsony, mint a közepes és magas jövedelmű országokban.

Annak ellenére, hogy a helyes kézhigiéné többek között a COVID-19 elleni fertőzés egyik leghatékonyabb védekezési módja, az egészségügyi ellátás során szerzett fertőzés máig jelentős globális egészségügyi probléma. Az alacsonyabb jövedelmű országokban kétszer nagyobb eséllyel tapasztalják ennek hátrányait, vagyis a kórházi fertőzéseket, mint a magas jövedelmű országokban.

A WHO IPC-megfigyelő portálja az egyik eszköz, ami segítheti a felzárkózást, azonban tapasztalatunk szerint a leghatékonyabb módja a helyes kézfertőtlenítési technika javításának, ha a Semmelweis Scannerrel folytatott tréningek során azonnali visszajelzést kap az egészségügyi dolgozó a kézfertőtlenítése hatékonyságáról, illetve nyomon követheti a fejlődését is.

5th of May is the day, which WHO had dedicated to the World day of Hand hygiene for 12 years already.

Visitors of healthcare units are now aware of the importance of hand hygiene, however, along with frequency, the right technique is just as an important element.

The most recent development of the HandInScan Ltd. makes it possible with a large-screen display to draw visitors attention to the importance of hand hygiene upon entering the healthcare facilities. This is done by a tool, which on the one hand provides instructions for hand disinfection based on the 6-step WHO recommendation, while on the other hand, it provides visitors with instant feedback on the efficiency of the hand disinfection performed.

Visitors are not personally identified in visitor mode, it remains anonymus, however, the facility receives statistics of the visitors results through the Reporting System.

In addition to drawing attention, the Semmelweis Scanner thus helps to learn the right hand-hygiene without human intervention, through training and feedback.

Az egészségügyi intézmények látogatói ma már tisztában vannak a kézhigiéné fontosságával, azonban a fertőtlenítés gyakorisága mellett a helyes technika is fontos elem.
A HandInScan Zrt. legújabb fejlesztése lehetővé teszi, hogy az egészségügyi intézménybe lépve egy nagyképernyős kijelző hívja fel a látogatók figyelmét a kézfertőtlenítés fontosságára. Egy olyan eszközzel teszi ezt, mely egyrészt instrukciókat ad a WHO 6 lépéses ajánlása alapján történő kézfertőtlenítésre, másrészt azonnali visszajelzést is kap a látogató az elvégzett kézfertőtlenítése hatékonyságáról.
