People often ask what is the best recipe for balancing the sauna and ice bath? How long should you stay in for?

Well, it’s totally individual to what your body reacts to - however, the general rule of thumb is:

SAUNA:

15 minutes - circulation improves, nervous system begins shifting toward a calmer state

20 minutes - deeper muscle tension release, endorphins increase + stronger parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) response post-session

COLD PLUNGE:

3 minutes - norepinephrine and dopamine begin rising + mental alertness increases

5 minutes - inflammation response is reduced + metabolic rate is elevated as the body works to stay warm

Don’t forget to hydrate + shower in between rounds!

if only you guys got to see the unedited videos of people using our cold plunge eheh - we have heard it’s one of the coldest in town soo 👀

although sometimes it might feel like you’re torturing yourself, it’s all in the name of wellness! ice baths are proven to increase dopamine levels by up to 200–300%, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and temporarily boost metabolic rate through cold thermogenesis.

a little (a lot lol) shock, a whole lot more benefits ✺

erm excuse you, we’re biohacking in here?!

reasons why we love contrast therapy and so should you ✺

some people think an ice bath and sauna rotation is only for the gym bro’s to recover their muscles faster - but let us tell you that is only one benefit in a long list!

Contrast therapy can help with physical things such as increased metabolic rate, faster recovery + improved circulation - but it also works wonders for our minds too providing huge boosts in dopamine and endophins providing greater mental wellbeing and clarity.

no matter what kind of day you’re having, you’ll leave sundaymood in a better mood ☺︎

sometimes the best remedy is a little alone time and getting comfortable in the silence ✺

contrast therapy can be a huuuuge mood booster. cold exposure has been shown to increase dopamine levels by up to **200–300%**, with effects lasting several hours (believe it or not, because we know, it sounds a little like torture 🤣).

infrared sauna sessions using yellow chromotherapy are linked to improved mood, optimism, and nervous system balance, while **blue light** supports calm and stress reduction.

together, heat, cold, and targeted light help regulate stress chemistry and support a steadier, more resilient mood ☺︎

save this for later, or come back to it when your body needs a reset ◠

biohacking has become a bit of a buzzword lately but it’s simply learning how your body works, how your nervous system responds to stress, and how small, consistent habits can support energy, mood, sleep, recovery, and overall wellbeing. literally anyyyyyyone can bio hack - and you probably do without even realising it 🫧

things like natural light in the morning, intentional breathing, heat and cold exposure, movement, rest, and nervous system regulation aren’t trends, they’re ancient tools your body already understands. THIS is what biohacking actually looks like in real life ✺

rumour has it we’ve got one of the coldest plunges in town 👀

but in all seriousness, we promise it does get better and your tolerance to the cold will rise with practice. here’s some of our favourite tips to get you through:

~ease in slowly
give your body a moment to arrive before going all the way down

~breathe long, not fast
slow exhales tell your nervous system you’re safe

~soften the jaw and shoulders
tension makes the cold louder than it needs to be

~keep your feet a little higher
it’s colder the lower you go

simple adjustments for a much gentler plunge ✺
