❤️A gentle moment of progress and hope ❤️

Yesterday , we share the results of a hearing test that marks an important step forward for one of our children at SLB N 1 Karangasem. After the assessment, the students was provided with an ABD hearing aids, opening a new door to sound and communication.

It is truly touching to witness his response—slowly recognizing voices, beginning to connect with words, and showing the first signs of confidence in this new journey. Small steps, yet so meaningful.

We are deeply grateful to Tru Blue Foundation and Lumina Hearing Centre and Yayasan Kolewa Harapan Indonesia for their support and dedication in making this possible. Together, we are giving children the opportunity to hear, to learn, and to grow.

One of our amazing Kolewa Foundation ambassadors Dirk-Jan Baas partnered with a local supermarket near his home to collect empty bottles and cans—and today, the proceeds were donated to support our work!
What might seem like a simple everyday habit has turned into meaningful support for our mission. It’s a powerful reminder that anyone, anywhere, can make a difference.

Today in Sumba, our local scout visited little patients who are bravely fighting their journey. We didn’t just come to see them—we came to support them by teaching the use of special feeding bottles for babies with cleft lips who struggle to feed.
Something simple, yet so meaningful. These special bottles help them feed better while preparing for surgery, ensuring a smoother healing process and protecting the stitches.
Because for us, every small step is part of a journey toward a new smile and a brighter future. 🤍
