We are honored to join the St. Jude Global Alliance , one of the world’s most respected nonprofit networks dedicated to advancing care for seriously ill children.
For us, this is more than a partnership. It’s a promise.
A promise that children in Indonesia, especially those from low-income families, will continue to receive care rooted in global best practices.
A promise that our nurses and community health workers will gain stronger knowledge, deeper expertise, and wider support.
Through this alliance, Rachel House stands shoulder to shoulder with global leaders who share the same vision that no child should suffer without relief, comfort, and dignity.
As we grow, so does the circle of support around every child under our care. Your belief in our work makes moments like this possible. Thank you for being part of this journey, and for helping us bring hope to every child who needs it. 💛
Together, we continue to dream of an Indonesia where no child will ever have to live or die in pain.

We are deeply grateful to the Women’s International Club (WIC) for inviting Rachel House to the 56th WIC Annual Charity Bazaar this November.
Standing among this vibrant community allowed us to share our mission with many more people and raise awareness of the plight of seriously-ill children we serve, and the role of palliative care in bringing comfort, dignity and hope into their lives.
Every conversation at our booth, every smile, and every moment someone paused to learn about our service, help ensure the continuity of the compassionate home-based palliative care we bring to the children living with serious illnesses, especially those from low-income families.
Thank you, WIC and everyone who visited our booth. Your kindness uplifts our team, and reminds the children we serve that they are never forgotten. 💛
Here’s to more shared kindness, deeper connections, and a future where no child has to live or die in pain.

Our donors are the loving wings upon which our service takes flight, to bring comfort, relief and dignity to our children and their families.
Because of your support, dear donors, the children fighting pain, and their families in crisis no longer struggle alone. They now have a support system in Rachel House nurses and care team, walking alongside them, through fear, exhaustion and uncertainty.
Because you choose to give, the seriously-ill children receive the skilled compassionate medical care at home - that helps them face the darkest hours.
Because of your kindness, children’s homes become places of comfort again, and parents’ burden becomes just a little lighter.
To all our donors: thank you for helping us sustain this mission. You help ensure that children from marginalised communities, who are too often overlooked, receive dignity, comfort and love 💗
You remind families that they matter, and help lift burdens that no family should carry alone.
We are deeply grateful for you.
Thank you for opening your heart.
Thank you for choosing to stand by our children.
Thank you for being the reason hope finds its way into their homes.

Every child deserves a day that feels like their own, a day filled with laughter, warmth, and care 💙
This World Children’s Day, we celebrate the theme ‘My Day, My Rights,’ a reminder that every child, whether healthy or living with a serious illness, has the right to live with dignity, love, and joy.
At Rachel House, we believe that palliative care is not only about easing pain but also about honoring those rights. It means ensuring that a child can spend their days surrounded by love, not fear. It means helping families find hope even in the hardest moments. It means reminding the world that every child’s life, no matter how brief or fragile, holds infinite value.
✨ When we protect their rights, we give them more than care; we give them a chance to truly live their day.
Together, let’s build a world where every day is a child’s day, and where their every right is protected with love.

Every child’s birthday carries their dreams and hopes on the wings of laughter and joy.
But, for some of Rachel House’s children, this birthday may be their last, and for most of our children, birthday cakes are impossible dreams.
10 years ago, when Tiar heard this, she decided that every child at Rachel House deserves to
have a special birthday cake - and that she would bake their dream cake herself! And so begins
the tradition.
Now, with the help of Sinana Delight, our children are presented with the most beautiful cakes of
their dreams, blowing out candles embraced by the love baked into every slice.
These aren’t just cakes; they’re slices of love and joy, made especially according to each child’s
wish 🎂✨
Crafted with love and care, these cakes often arrive when the children need joy the most. They
brighten hospital rooms and tiny homes, bringing laughter to anxious hearts, and remind every
child that even in the hardest of times, there’s always something sweet to look forward to.
We’re endlessly grateful to Tiar and Sinana Delight .delight for filling our
children’s special days with sweetness, laughter, and light. Your kindness continues to warm
every corner of their hearts, reminding each child that they are seen, celebrated, and deeply
loved 💖

Pain should never be a child’s daily reality.
Yet in Indonesia, close to 700,000 children live with serious illnesses - and less than 1% have access to pain relief or palliative care (source: WHO, WPCA, 2014)
Rachel House exists to change this story.
We provide free palliative care, medicines, equipment, emotional and social support - bringing comfort and dignity to every child we serve.
You can be part of the children’s story - every month.
Your steady gift can turn their hardest days into moments of love and comfort 💛

Send a message to Rachel House - Children's Palliative Care Indonesia:
Founded in 2006, Rachel House (Yayasan Rumah Rachel) has pioneered palliative care in Indonesia for seriously-ill children. We provide home-based palliative care services to seriously-ill children with Cancer and HIV AIDS free of charge.
In addition, we educate and equip medical professionals and local communities with palliative care skills and knowledge to provide care for those in need. We advocate at a national and international level for improved access to palliative care for all Indonesians regardless of income, illness or education.
Right now, there are close to 700,000 seriously-ill children in Indonesia, but less than one percent currently has access to pain relief or palliative care.
Palliative care is a specialised medical care for people with serious illness and their families - providing pain and symptom management and emotional, social and spiritual support - so that patients can live pain-free and with optimal quality of life.
Our highly-trained nurses provide home-based palliative care services to the seriously-ill children with Cancer and HIV AIDS and their families across the greater Jakarta region, free of charge. Our nurses provide pain and symptom management for the children and emotional, social and spiritual support for the entire family.
Community Network in Palliative Care:
Our Community Network in Palliative Care (CNPC) program trains volunteers to provide practical support to serious and chronically ill members of their local community. Working closely with local Puskesmas (primary health clinics), our CNPC program is currently active in 13 communities across North and West Jakarta with more than 260 volunteers active on a weekly basis.
Clinic-In-A-Box:
We equip medical professionals and students from across Indonesia with the key skills and knowledge around palliative care. Taught by some of the world’s leading palliative care experts, our classes cover topics such as pain management, communicating about serious illness and bereavement support.
Public Advocacy - The Living Wall
We believe that no child should ever have to live or die in pain. To help turn this dream in to a reality we campaign to raise public awareness and advocate for a more central role for palliative care in our public health system.
