Brushing harder doesnโt mean brushing better. It just means more damage over time. When you scrub your teeth aggressively (especially with a hard brush), you can wear down enamel, irritate your gums, and cause gum recession. That can lead to tooth sensitivity, exposed roots, and even a higher risk of cavities near the gumline.
A good brush is gentle and consistent:
๐ชฅ Use a soft-bristled toothbrush
๐ Hold it at a slight angle toward the gumline
๐ Use small circular motions, not harsh back-and-forth scrubbing
If youโre noticing sensitivity, bleeding gums, or your gums look like theyโre โpulling back,โ itโs worth getting it checked early.
