WEEKLY WEDNESDAY TALKS IN OUR NEW FACEBOOK GROUP - VINYASA SEQUENCING & ANATOMY TIPS
9:30am Paris time

Join me, Caroline Layzell, for this live session about the anatomy and energetics of the hip mandala

We start by looking at the key muscles that we consider as supporting the femur bone and pelvic bowl area of our skeleton. We look briefly at their attachments points on the bones and the movements they are responsible for in every day life. Then we explore some shapes in yoga which use these muscles and movements in action so you have a visual awareness too.

Then I want to spend a moment of time sharing some of my knowledge around TCM (chinese meridian lines & TCM). This will give you a something extra in terms of your knowledge about the idea of certain emotions being linked into key areas of the hips. Helping you to understand "why" emotions sometimes appear when we practice or shortly afterwards over time.

My goal is that you can find some valuable new tips on how to both sequence and communicate your knowledge about the hips more effectively within your classes. Practitioners this will allow you to better understand the purpose behind your practices and help you to move more intuitively into shapes that suit the energy or anatomical needs for your body in that moment or day

NEW VIDEO ON YOUTUBE TO ENJOY ❤

This class uses Myo-Yin techniques within some traditional yin yoga shapes to find release in our lower back and front and back of the hips! We use 2 balls to create release in the myofascia tissues surrounding the muscles, to help release trigger points or congested areas within the body

We focus specifically today on Urinary Bladder, Kidney, Stomach and Spleen meridian lines so we calm the nervous system and help to release the emotions of fear and worry from our systems.

You will leave feeling awakened yet deliciously calm and nourished!

This is a delicious Yin Yoga class designed to create space throughout the front body.

We spend time lingering in deep holds to find space around the heart, chest and lungs allowing us to breath easier and stand taller. Then we explore how it feels around the front of the hips - hip flexor area - inviting a release of tightness and tension.

You will leave this class feeling energised and awake both mentally and physically as we find balance in our Stomach & Spleen Meridian Lines

The perfect class for anyone who has been sitting down a lot, running or cycling. Also perfect for anyone who is feeling low energy and needs a little energy boost!
