If you feel pain directly below the kneecap, especially with activities like jumping, running, or climbing stairs, you might have Patellar tendinitis.
Patellar tendinitis, also known as “jumper’s knee,” is an inflammation and irritation of the patellar tendon, which connects the kneecap to the shinbone. Overusing your knee and putting too much repeated stress on your patellar tendon causes it. It’s usually a sports injury, but any repetitive physical activity, job or hobby can cause it.
