If you feel pain directly below the kneecap, especially with activities like jumping, running, or climbing stairs, you might have Patellar tendinitis.

Patellar tendinitis, also known as “jumper’s knee,” is an inflammation and irritation of the patellar tendon, which connects the kneecap to the shinbone. Overusing your knee and putting too much repeated stress on your patellar tendon causes it. It’s usually a sports injury, but any repetitive physical activity, job or hobby can cause it.

When your muscle is overused, it can causes the muscles feel more tense and painful. It happens due to an energy crisis where muscle fibers do not get an adequate blood supply.

Dry needling can be an option to reduce the problem. By targeting trigger points, dry needling can help release muscle tension, increase blood flow, and promote healing.

Ask about your muscular problem with our clinician & let us know how we can help.
