In his words, our founder shares the emotions behind his most recent music release while war rages in his home country of Iran:
"This song is released during a time of war, but it came during deep reflection—on love, letting go, and how to stay open in a world that often asks us to close. At its core, Pure Hearts is a simple but paradoxical idea: sometimes love means releasing, not holding on. That endings, when met with compassion and dignity, can still be an expression of love-perhaps the truest.
Having lived between Iranian and American identities (often locked in ongoing threats and conflict), I have had to dig deep to move through decades of trauma. I feel the struggle to push and use force to make the other side understand blurs any intention of good will. Whether in a personal or global conflict, we’re taught to resist and control, yet true peace may ask something softer—and braver.
I recorded this song freely, without a click track, letting it breathe naturally and unfold into a powerful vocal expression. It felt important to preserve its healing message, but the second half of the song evolves into a much more passionate musical expression of fresh movement and release.
Listen and let it meet you where you are in your journey with acceptance and letting go of anything which is no longer in alignment with you. Maybe it brings reflection, maybe simply a moment of sweetness.
Warmly,
Shervin Boloorian
