Take moment to pause in the midst of the midweek slump. An all levels class to help you get out of your head and back into your body. Join me for deeply grounding hatha or yin yoga practice. This class is all about softening, centering, releasing tension and melting stress. It’s the antidote to tense, desk-bound bodies and weary minds. Suitable for all, no yoga experience needed. The perfect class to leave you feeling balanced and ready to carry a little calm into the rest of your week

I’m not going to lie, 2025 did a number on my nervous system and I’m not bouncing back as quickly as I’d like. If you’ve been here for a while or you’ll know I’m am absolutely not one for January resolutions. The depths of winter is yin season and I’m still in hibernation mode. But there are 5 things I’m doing to reset and rebalance.

1. Natural red light exposure: I’m taking advantage of the later sunrises to help regulate my circadian rhythm, regulate cortisol and improve gut health
2. Cold exposure: Sea dips, ice baths and cold showers are not suitable for everyone and become additional stressors in a dysregulated body. Instead I have my coffee outside while watching the sunrise
3. Silence: No phone, no music, no Tv for the first hour
4. Breathwork: 10 minutes of simple breathwork every morning
5. Read 10 pages of a non fiction book. Last year I tried 75 hard (lasted around 15 days 😂 before quitting) one thing I loved from it was reading 10 pages every day.

So that’s my “new years resolutions”. Basically the same as the old years resolutions - slow mornings & selfcare

My Daughter lost her wallet today in Arklow. It contained her cards and her driving licence. She lives in the UK so trying to replace cards etc was going to be a nightmare this close to Christmas. I wasn’t overly worried because I knew if it was found in Arklow it would be handed in. So I did what FB mothers do and put it into every group I’m in. Sure enough within an hour the wallet was found 🙏🏻 It’s very easy to see all the bad in the world but there’s so much good. So today I’m so grateful for social media, FB groups and the lovely lady who handed in her wallet saving us all that stress.

Seomra Shakti Yoga Studio is a vibrant yoga hub in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Our mission is not just to provide yoga classes but to create a thriving yoga community in the Midlands.

We believe that yoga is for everybody, if you can breathe you can do yoga! We offer vari0us styles of yoga suitable for all levels from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. We have class times to suit even the most time pressed of students, from early morning flow classes to late evening yin. Our styles of yoga include: Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Baptiste Yoga, Hatha, Yin & Sports Yoga.

Our classes are kept small to ensure every student gets individual attention. We are conveniently located in the Mullingar Business Park, on the outskirts of town, with ample free parking.
