Wicklow, Servier (Ireland) Industries Ltd. was established in 1989 with just 12 staff. Over 35 years later our beautiful architecturally designed pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, whilst always maintaining its unique style, has grown and is now home to approximately 500 staff. It is the second largest site in the Servier Group network. Focusing on three therapeutic areas – oncology, cardiometabolism & venous diseases, neurology – we export to 100 above countries and are committed to providing patients with quality medicines. We are a little late in posting but wanted to say a huge thanks to Glenart College, Arklow who invited us to their Careers Fair in January. It was a fantastic afternoon, so well attended. Kelly-Ann, Nicola & Wendy from our HR Team spent the afternoon meeting and chatting to students. Glenart were hosting but we were delighted to also meet students from Gaelcholáiste na Mara and Avondale Community College who were there too. Lots of colleges, universities and local businesses in attendance - a great further education and community event rolled into one. Bravo 👏🏻

🎓 College Awareness Week at Glenart College, Arklow

Being a student is not always easy and it can become particularly difficult when it comes to 5th & 6th Year; everyone seems to be asking 'What are you going to do when you leave school?'

National College Awareness Week took place in November and nine of our colleagues headed off to meet the 5th & 6th Years at Glenart College, Arklow. All our colleagues had different experiences to share. Some got what they wanted in their CAOs, some didn't. Some are still working in jobs related to their qualifications, some aren't. Some studied full time, some took the apprenticeship route.

Life is not a straight line but for students it can sometimes feel like it's supposed to be. We hope sharing our experiences helped to enforce that everyone's route is different.

And, even though it was College Awareness Week, there will be some who don't go to college - and that's ok too!
