Wicklow, Servier (Ireland) Industries Ltd. was established in 1989 with just 12 staff. Over 35 years later our beautiful architecturally designed pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, whilst always maintaining its unique style, has grown and is now home to approximately 500 staff. It is the second largest site in the Servier Group network. Focusing on three therapeutic areas – oncology, cardiometabolism & venous diseases, neurology – we export to 100 above countries and are committed to providing patients with quality medicines. At Servier, we prioritise quality and safety, ensuring our products meet the highest standards. 📣 This week we celebrated the End of our Financial Year at Servier Arklow, a great day to look back on our achievements and enjoy time together as a team!

To make the day special, we hosted six interactive sessions in our on-site restaurant, An Bhialann, filled with conversations, highlights from the year, and a fun True or False quiz.
We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast & lunch, shared together in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

💙Thank you to everyone who joined in and to our amazing Communication Committee (AKA The CommComm!) for organising such a positive, engaging day! Here's to FY2025/2026!!

Quality is at the heart of everything we do 💙

Last week, we proudly celebrated World Quality Week 2025 here at Servier Arklow! It was the perfect occasion to highlight the importance of Quality across all our professions — and to thank our teams for their daily commitment.

On the agenda:
✅ A presentation from our QA Team on the different communication channels
we use
✅ A focus on how everyone can contribute to Quality on site
✅ A fun Quality Quiz to remind us all to Think Differently
✅ Communications across our screens to shine a light on our key procedures

Our Quality teams also met with colleagues across the site for great discussions on how we can all play a part in maintaining and improving Quality every day.

👏 Well done to everyone who took part and helped make this week a success!

Recently we attended a great evening at BrookLodge for the Pureproject Pure Miles Awards Night. On the night, we were chuffed to receive a certificate of recognition for our Pure Mile which runs from the Knockmore Roundabout to Kish Roundabout in Arklow. Well done to all those who take part through local groups and businesses. Together we can and do make a difference.

🩸 This November, we’re supporting .

Gastric cancer is linked to a number of environmental and behavioral risk factors. Due to its general, nonspecific symptoms, diagnosis of this type of cancer often occurs too late, compromising the prognosis.

🔎 A recent study uncovers that approximately 570 individuals in Ireland are diagnosed with stomach cancer annually. A number that reminds us of the urgency to act: when it comes to gastric cancer, it’s not enough to treat, we must anticipate.

Join us this November to raise awareness about the disease and highlight the crucial role of early detection in improving outcomes 💜

🦺 SAFE Week 2025 at Servier Arklow!

Last week, our teams came together to take part in one of our key annual initiatives — SAFE Week.

Safety is more than a priority at Servier Arklow — it’s a shared commitment that guides every action we take. This year’s programme reinforced that commitment through a series of engaging and educational activities designed to strengthen our safety culture across all areas of our site.

Here are a few highlights from the week 👇

✅ Packaging Tools Workshops – reinforcing safe practices
✅ Emergency Eye Wash Demos – practicing quick and effective reactions
✅ “3 Seconds Is All It Takes” – a thought-provoking keynote on the importance of safety and its real-life consequences
✅ Laboratory Safety Workshop – reinforcing our Laboratory Safety Culture
✅ Emergency Scenario with our Servier ERT and Emergency Services – staying prepared for any situation

Our HR team had a great time representing Servier Arklow at recent Career Fairs! 💙

We’re proud to support young people as they explore their future careers.
Every year, new apprentices join our site, from Manufacturing and Maintenance to Laboratory Apprenticeships.

A big welcome to our 2025 apprentices: Leah Sweeney, Nathan Dineen, Callum Stedman, and Dylan Kennedy! We’re so happy to have you on board and can’t wait to see all you’ll achieve. 🙌

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 – 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠

Yesterday, just before World Mental Health Day, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Brent Pope to our Servier Ireland site for an inspiring talk about mental health and wellbeing. 💙

Brent — former rugby player, coach, author, and passionate mental health advocate — spoke honestly about his own experiences with anxiety and depression. And, he shared practical tools from his 'recovery toolbox' that any of us can use to take care of our mental health every day.

His openness and positivity reminded us how important it is to talk about mental health, to support one another, and to keep breaking the stigma.
A heartfelt thank you to Brent Pope for sharing his story and to Vhi I for making this event possible

Remember, it's good to talk. Talk to someone. As Brent Pope said 'It's never weak to speak. It might in fact be the most powerful thing you ever do for yourself'

On Friday we joined about 60 other companies to celebrate Ireland’s first-ever national Manufacturing Day.

It’s a new initiative by Ibec to “spotlight the innovation, skills, and opportunities driving our dynamic manufacturing sector.”

We welcomed a group of 14 students from SETU SU Waterford Campus for a presentation on Servier - our products, our people, our patients and our vision, our values, our vocation. This was followed by a tour of our Manufacturing and Packaging facilities, lead by Lorcan & Ausra.

Thank you to Ibec, SETU and everyone involved in making this happen 👏
