Last Friday, our team came together for our Medguard Kick Off Meeting 2026 at Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, and what a day it was. This year’s theme, The Medguard Promise, reflects our ongoing commitment:

To be Ireland’s most trusted partner in medical devices and consumables, through responsiveness, integrity, clinical excellence, and customer-first service.

Taking time out as a full organisation to align, learn, recognise achievement and strengthen collaboration is something we prioritise every year. When we invest in our people, we strengthen our culture. When we strengthen our culture, we elevate the customer experience, and, when we elevate the customer experience, we ultimately support better outcomes for the patients who rely on the products and services we provide.

A particular highlight of the day was celebrating colleagues through our Medguard Awards, recognising those who truly embody our values of People, Integrity, Exceptional and Genuine. Their contribution is what brings The Medguard Promise to life every single day.

A huge thank you to everyone who presented, organised and participated. The energy, engagement and shared ambition in the room made it clear, 2026 is going to be an amazing year.

📢 Operational Update
Medguard will be observing a scheduled operational pause on Friday the 13th for our annual team development day.

Orders placed after 2:00 PM today (Thursday) will be processed when operations resume, with delivery scheduled for Tuesday.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to invest in our people and the service we provide. Training days like this help us stay aligned, strengthen our skills, and keep improving the support we offer you, and ultimately, the experience for patients.

Following the news of the Medguard–Mediq acquisition, we take a deeper look at the real benefits behind the partnership for Irish Healthcare. 🎂 Medguard Best Baker Bake Off – Today! 🎂

Today, our offices are filled with the smell of freshly baked treats as we host the Medguard Best Baker Bake Off in support of our local heroes, the Meath River Rescue. 💙

This charity event is all about raising vital funds for an incredible, 100% volunteer-led organisation that works tirelessly, day and night, to help reunite families with their loved ones during river search and rescue operations.

We’re incredibly proud to support such a dedicated team and to show our appreciation by turning our bake off into something that truly makes a difference. Every cake, cookie and donation helps support their lifesaving work.

We were proud to support another engaging and essential event for the IGPNEA Irish General Practice Nurses Educational Association Skills Day last Saturday,
At the Skills Day (held at the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise) our team; Shauna Fitzgerald and Rhiann Smith had the privilege of guiding GPNs through the latest in ECG technology and best practice in electrode placement.

🔹 We supported in facilitating hands-on stations where participants:
• Practised correct electrode placement for 12-lead ECGs.
• Explored the latest ECG devices, connectivity options and workflow features that support efficient, accurate diagnostics.
• Asked questions, swapped experiences and shared insights about integrating ECG monitoring into their day-to-day practice.
