🎄✨ Today, Damian delivered a collection from the Team in Medguard to support Meath’s Women’s Shelter, helping bring comfort, joy, and a little magic this Christmas to women and children who need it most ❤️

🎂 Medguard Best Baker Bake Off – Today! 🎂

Today, our offices are filled with the smell of freshly baked treats as we host the Medguard Best Baker Bake Off in support of our local heroes, the Meath River Rescue. 💙

This charity event is all about raising vital funds for an incredible, 100% volunteer-led organisation that works tirelessly, day and night, to help reunite families with their loved ones during river search and rescue operations.

We’re incredibly proud to support such a dedicated team and to show our appreciation by turning our bake off into something that truly makes a difference. Every cake, cookie and donation helps support their lifesaving work.

We were proud to support another engaging and essential event for the IGPNEA Irish General Practice Nurses Educational Association Skills Day last Saturday,
At the Skills Day (held at the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise) our team; Shauna Fitzgerald and Rhiann Smith had the privilege of guiding GPNs through the latest in ECG technology and best practice in electrode placement.

🔹 We supported in facilitating hands-on stations where participants:
• Practised correct electrode placement for 12-lead ECGs.
• Explored the latest ECG devices, connectivity options and workflow features that support efficient, accurate diagnostics.
• Asked questions, swapped experiences and shared insights about integrating ECG monitoring into their day-to-day practice.

🔹 A big thank-you to the team for organising the event and to every nurse who attended, your commitment to ongoing professional development is inspiring. Medguard remains committed to supporting your work and advancing primary care diagnostics together.

A huge thank you to everyone in Medguard who dressed up last Friday, donated, and guessed what was lurking in our Haunted Box Challenge (brave souls 😅). We indulged in all the spooky treats and had lots of fun, all while raising much needed funds for sick children in Children’s Health Ireland (CHI)’s hospitals and urgent care centers at Crumlin, ​Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Tallaght University Hospital and Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

Thank you for the laughs, the chills, and the heart you put into our Halloween day. This is Halloween done right. 🫶

We’re proud to recognise and celebrate key moments that highlight the importance of health and wellbeing. Today, we're marking Women’s Health Week, mindful of World Menopause Day tomorrow too. To honour these important dates, our team have come together, both in the office and online for a series of initiatives designed to raise awareness and deepen our understanding of women’s health needs.

We started the day with a healthy breakfast, the perfect opportunity to connect and set a positive tone for the day. This was followed by a Menopause Awareness Day 2025 webinar, a breast check demonstration led by Linda Keegan PA-IC and we wrapped up with an insightful Bodystat Limited with Tara Dunphy, where each participant gained valuable insights into their health and wellbeing.

A big thanks to all who have participated today and helped us to celebrate the strength, resilience, and wellbeing of women everywhere. 💪💖

Medguard is proud to have supported the first-ever course in Ireland! We were delighted to be invited by Stephen Gilmartin, Emergency Medicine Consultant at Sligo University Hospital, to sponsor this fantastic event which brought together 26 clinicians from across Ireland.

The CASTED program, created and directed by Arun Sayal, is internationally recognised for its hands-on approach to teaching Emergency Medicine Consultants, Doctors, and Advanced Nurse Practitioners the latest in orthopaedic injury assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

This was the first time CASTED has been run in Ireland, and it was a privilege to be involved in such a high-quality, practical educational initiative.

Our team, Mike Ryan and Mark O'Grady had the opportunity to showcase a range of Promedics Orthopaedic Ltd bracing products, covering upper and lower limb supports, along with Aspen Medical Products spinal bracing solutions.
