Hello March 🌼 3 questions to ask yourself today !!
I really feel March is the first month of Spring as I notice lambs in the fields and my daffodils are popping up. Its brighter after 6pm now which is a huge boost and shifts the mindset from hibernating mode to taking action!
What actions are you taking this month? The start of the month is a great time to start something new.
It's also a great time to check in with yourself and ask yourself some questions.
3 questions to ask yourself today :
👉No 1: How is my energy after the first 2 months of the new year, it can be a busy time for many with kids, work, activities. Are you shaking off any tiredness within an hour of waking ? Are you tired all the time ? Do you start well but go downhill with slumps throughout the day?
👉No 2: Am I feeling bloated every day? The bloat is not normal like many women think. When does it happen, first thing? Bloat after meals ? maybe you need some digestive support.
👉No 3: Am I craving sweet things? Can’t get through the afternoon without something sweet? Need something with that cup of tea ?
Most of my current clients are answering yes to all three.
🍽To beat the cravings we have to take out the sugar and balance the macros- protein, fats and carbs. Think about how you start the day also- carbs can make you hungry and start you on a path of craving. Cereal and toast is a very different breakfast to eggs and brown bread. Do you notice the difference?
😴To improve on energy think about your sleep are you getting 7-8 hours? Is it broken ? Everything stems from sleep so make that a priority this month. Eating regularly and combining food well helps balance that energy. Again too many carbs will cause a fast burn out with an energy slump.
🍎To support digestion think about feeding your microbiome or gut bacteria with more fibre. Bacteria love it , when they are happy there’s no bloat! Add in some additional fibre this month like kiwis, raspberries, wholegrain bread, brown rice and flaxseed. Low digestive enzymes and food intolerances are common culprits too. Eliminating suspect foods or booking in for a food intolerance test can be a good option.
If its support you need this March to get you back into your routine then lets chat.
