Declan (Dick) Travers, Tinnakill, Skerries, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away suddenly at Naas General Hospital on Friday 19th December 2025. Pre-deceased by his father Christy, mother-in-law Carmel, and also Sandra and James. Sadly, missed by his loving partner Ann Marie, son C.J. (Annelie) and daughter Carmel Ann, his mother Lizzie, sisters Margaret (Juny), Tresa (Patrick) brothers Christopher (Adel), Nigel (Samantha), and Ian, father-in-law Charlie, brother-in- law Brendan (Fionnula), sister-in-law Sandra, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, friends and neighbours.



Declan will repose in Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 from 5pm until the conclusion of prayers at 7pm. Arriving at St. Ita’s Church, Kilmead on Saturday 27th December for Requiem Mass at 11am. Followed by burial in adjoining Cemetery.

John Walsh, Lakeside Park, Newbridge, Co. Kildare passed away peacefully on Friday 19th December, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and John and his baby daughter Mary. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, son John, daughter Karen, grandchildren Lillian, Harry, Conor, John and Cooper, daughter-in-law Lisa, son-in-law John, his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.



Reposing at his home on Sunday 21st December from 5pm until the conclusion of prayers at 7pm. (House private at all other times Please). Removal by Thompson’s Funeral Directors on Monday morning to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge for Requiem Mass at 11am. Followed by cremation in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98) at 1.30pm.

Roy Kelly, Aughaboura, Athy, Co. Kildare and formerly Edenderry, Co. Offaly. Roy passed away peacefully in his 91st year on 6th December 2025 in the wonderful care of Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy. Predeceased by Doreen (née Barrett) his beloved wife of 67 years, his son David and his brother Ivan (Edenderry). Roy will be sadly missed by his sister Olga (Churchtown, D14), son Ian (Clontarf), daughter Linda (Castleknock), grandchildren Niamh (John), David (Louise) Darragh, Fiona, Eoin and Kate, great grandchildren Killian and Rory, son-in-law Seamus, daughter-in-law Una, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.



Roy will repose in Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Monday 8th December 2025 from 5pm until the conclusion of Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday 9th December at 12 noon in St. Michael’s Church of Ireland, Carlow Road, Athy. Followed by burial (at approximately 2.45pm.) in the graveyard adjoining Castro Petre Church, Church Walk, Edenderry, Co Offaly.

Tom (Tommy) Collins, Thetford, England and formerly Southgreen, Kildare, Town. Passed away on 8th November 2025. Predeceased by his wife Madeline, brothers Brendan and James. He will be sadly missed by his sons Michael and Stephen, grandchildren Stephen, Louise and Laura, great grandchildren Ruby and Crystal, daughter-in-law Josephine, brothers Joe, John, Ned, Patsy and Willie, sister Maureen and sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Freida H***e (Née Kane), Townspark, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away on 29th November 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John, parents Joe and May Kane, sister Nancy, brother-in-law Séan and mother-in-law Maggie H***e. Freida will be sadly missed by her loving daughter May and her loving son Noel, granddaughters Alanna and Leah, great-grandson Jayden, sons-in-law Ger and Kevin, her nephews and nieces Pat, Paul, Sandra, Michelle, Marie, Mag, Freida, Joseph, John, Eddie, Gerry and Pascal, her devoted friends Matt, Mary, Corky, Margaret and Nelly, extended family and neighbours.

Paul David Curran, Grangemellon, Carlow Road, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away on 1st November 2025. Predeceased by his grandparents Margaret and Tony Guerrine and his grandfather Dessie Curran. Paul will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents David and Bernie and his family, Jade, Simon, Mark and Skyeleigh, his nanny Margaret, neighbours, relatives, extended family and friends, and his beautiful dogs Coco and Mylo.

Predeceased by her husband Ned, brother Johnnie, sister Maureen and nephew Declan. Desmond (Des) Flood, Fortbarrington, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away peacefully at Cloverlodge Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Louise. Des will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, daughter Denise and son Dessie and their partners, grandchildren Adam, Alex, Becca, Emily and Abbie, brothers, Denis, John, Louie, sisters Mary Joe and Nuala and their partners, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives, extended family and friends.
