The Junior Flex-On Safe On are only designed for riders up to 40 kg of weight.
The new Safe-On stirrups from Flex-On combines the technology of the Flex-On Green Composite Stirrups with a new safety-release feature, ensuring the rider’s foot releases in the event of an accident.
The Safe-On Stirrups have kept all of your favourite features of the Green Composite Stirrups – they are lightweight, made from an organically sourced polyamide material which is then reinforced with an internal steel frame. The wide tread helps to improve the rider’s balance and security which decreases levels of rider fatigue and promotes better posture and alignment. This is further supported with the unique shock absorbing system beneath the stirrup treads which help to absorb vibrations and improve rider comfort to the ankles, knees and hips.
The Safe-On Safety Stirrup releases the foot by opening the outer arm of the stirrup under a certain amount of pressure. The stirrup is designed to support and secure your foot, staying intact when under pressure (e.g. when jumping) but releasing at approx. 40KG of force in the event of a rider fall. Once the arm is released, it can be secured again with an Allen key – simply check around the screw for debris, unscrew, reposition the arm and retighten the screw. The stirrup will then be ready to use again, without the need for any replacement parts.
With their Safe-On stirrups, Flex-On have combined all benefits riders look for in a premium stirrup while helping to improve rider safety at all levels.
