As we approach the end of the year, a little clinic update. As most of our regular patients know, our lovely Geraldine will be taking some time off to recover from a back procedure and I know you’ll join us in wishing her a speedy & smooth recovery. This does mean our diary is stretched at the moment, and unfortunately we won’t be able to accommodate everyone who is looking for a slot before the new year and we appreciate your patience while we are without our valued team member. Thanks in advance for your understanding and we will update here in the new year. The Footworks Team 🩵

September marks 18 years since Footworks opened its doors in Ballina. From small beginnings in 2007 to now having a wonderful team … so grateful to everyone who has been a part of the journey 🙏🏼

Lovely to have a visit today from Rachel (pictured with Rachel 😅) who is an Orthotist from showing us their range of medical devices - a highly specialised team based in Co. Mayo. We look forward to working with them a lot more in the future 🦶🏻

August marks 7 years since Geraldine joined Footworks 🥳 we are so fortunate to have her as our colleague and friend. Thanks for all that you do Geraldine 🫶🏻

Just to note that our lovely Aishling in the office is on annual leave, it will take Rachel & Geraldine a little longer to get to the phone or return calls / messages during busy clinic days (we miss Aishling already) so please bare this in mind if trying to contact the clinic 🙏🏼

Enniscrone pier swim 1km today … what a beautiful day for it 🫶🏻 not gonna lie, I’m super proud of myself and a little surprised I actually went through with it 😂

If you are like me, and regularly get soaked in the rain - here’s how you can protect your feet from suffering the consequences 🌧️ *Make sure you remove wet shoes AND socks as soon as possible. *Dry feet thoroughly with a towel, especially between the toes. *Use powder after drying, a medicated powder is ideal like Daktarin or mycol (handy to keep in sports kit bag) this helps to absorb excess moisture & reduce chaffing between toes. *Change into clean dry socks and footwear. *Make sure the wet footwear is completely dried out before using it again Frequently getting feet wet can increase the likelihood of fungal infections and skin irritation so acting quickly to dry off the skin is important 🦶🏻

It’s been a pleasure to have Mollie with is this month for her 2nd year block of placement. As a Podiatric Medicine student in Galway University, she has a bright future ahead in Podiatry and at Footworks we are glad to provide practice education for our future colleagues of the profession 🦶🏻 thanks for joining us Mollie
